Has anyone ever used one of these (or something like it) and has anyone ever put one of these under their seat, meaning; you removed/unstapled the existing seat cover put something like this inside and then staple the OEM seatcover back over.  I'm looking for an inexpensive comfy seat solution.

PM Jared if you have seat questions.  He did a custom gel rear seat on my SV that is beautiful   :thumb:  That pad you're looking at straps over top of your seat.  If you want to have it under the vinyl all you need is the gel like this:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/CONFORMAX-Motorcycle-Seat-Gel-Pad-Large-K-/220642440066?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item335f507382

First figure out how big of an area you want the gel to cover.  Then you have to cut it to fit and then cut the same amount of foam out of your current seat.  A hot knife works best but an electric knife (like you slice a turkey with) does a decent job.  Cut away a little bit at a time.

Like I said, Jared is the man when it comes to seat questions.  If he doesn't chime in here, send him a PM and he will give you much better advice   ;)

Perfect, thanks for the response.  I was initially thinking just my part of the seat, but I'll be intersted to see what Jared says/can do.  And for the record, the pad in the link you provided looks much better than the 1 I found.

Thanks again.

No problem, just search "motorcycle gel seat" on ebay motors and you'll find lots of options   :thumb:
