Hey everyone. I got my motorcycle license this past summer and am looking to buy a GS500F, any year really. I am located in the NYC area. This bike is quite hard to find on sell anywhere besides a few dealerships. Thanks in advance!

This one only has 19 miles on for some reason.
This is either a "Motorcycles aren't my thing/can't do it" owner,
"I just had a kid"
"Wife making me sell it"
"Divorce"
"I just put a new Spedo-pod in and it says 19"

TONS of them all over New York. Depends on how far you want to go

Wasn't 89 the only year they had black motors?

That one has a black motor which means it's been replaced?

Black Engine: 1989-1997
Silver/Gray: 1998-Present

Hmm...

Then I have a screwball bike. Mine's a 97 but has a grey motor...and it's definitely the original. (you can see it in my sig, clicky the orange pic!)

Weird. Why is it registered as a 97 again?

Title says 98. :p Was made really late in 97. So my guess it is a 97 with the cosmetics of a 98 (the orange color, too).

I was just on Craigslist looking around and came across one that seems decent:

There's a few E's on there too.

NickyNumbers

I'm considering putting up mine for sale.

I'll make a proper for sale post and send you a link.  its a well kept, well maintained and tastefully modded GS500 naked.  If you live in NYC, I'd reccomend the naked version.  One drop and you're fairings are done.

That is true...however you must consider that the fairings will also protect more important bits like the frame, side covers, etc.

Suppose the best of both worlds would be guards. Adidasguy knows where to get those. ;)
