So anyway. Before the troll distracted us from out indepth conversation... as I was saying, or thinking of saying, or not thinking of saying but making it up on the spot...

We've got these horns, right? On our bikes. And they don't go BLAIR they go beep. And so we Think we need to have a horn that sounds like a freight train. But do we really? And I mean, Really?

Imagine you are riding along and someone starts to do something dopey. Dopey enough to be horn worthy. Do you fumble around with your thumb trying to hit the horn - and miss and get the indicator cancel button - or do you simply swerve and go go go or hit the brakes instead?

See. There are times I will place my thumb on the horn and get ready to use it on the road, but I am also ready for other get-out moves. So really, other than an occasional beep to a pedestrian or to the car in front at a green light who doesn't realize it, I seldom if ever use my horn. Having a louder one won't change that cause there is still reaction time etc.

You actually rode today? I woke up and heard the rain and thought flag that. I still have tomorrow off so I may try for an early morning ride on my last day of holidays. Made a camera mount for my camera. Got an old GS mirrror, ripped the top off it. Tapped a thread on it. Pulled apart an old camera tripod mount fitted it on top. And as I use bar end mirrors guess where it will go? See how the pictures turn out but I think the Duc will vibrate it to much.

Very light sprinkles down to Yatala. Mt Lindesay was wet so took it easy. Got rained on heading into Kyogle - then the rain stopped. Got rained on a bit leaving Kyogle, dry by Rathdowney and Mt Lindesay twists were dry on the way back. Good day nonetheless. 9 of us hardcore riders (idiots) rode  :woohoo:

Car coming the other way spun out in front of us. Lucky they spun into the ditch on their side of the road.
One guy dropped his bike on the way to the starting point. then later in the ride his muffler just fell off wtf? Good laughs. Good day.

It was 80 degrees with clear, blue skys today....

And not a single twisty road to ride in 100 miles.

Curse this state with its lack of awesome roads.

ghostrider_23

You most be tallking about Florida. Today was drop dead beautiful, no clouds. no wind, warm weather and all straight boring roads  :dunno_black:

Not to Worry Twisted. Tomorrow - which is now today - looks equally wet and rainy. Least it wasn't fine all week only to rain on the weekend.
