New to the forum, been trying to read a fair bit of stuff over the last few days.

bit of a mechanical noob also so got a Q for you.

when you say K&N filter + exhaust and jet kit INSTALLED, doe sthat mean you will install it on my bike?

interested in those things and ur screen and possbly indicators (are we talking to low profile ones or stock ones?)

Yes - I'm a qualified mechanic  and realistically its not that difficult 

The indicators are original ones - I have flush mounts on my bike but you can get them from MCA - can help you fit them too if you like

i just wasnt sure what that meant.

If you dont mind id actually be interested in giving the install a go myself.
Im trying to develop my knowlegde of this kinda thing. when i stuff it up ill give you a call though 

so id be keen to take the filter, the jets, the exhaust and the screen of ur hands. pick up sometime next week?

When i am travelling along and snap the throttle open i get a lot of clutch slipping. it just revs like a mad man until i close the throttle. my local bike shop said i could try new oil but i think its more likley to need a new clutch. thoughts?


EDIT. just thinking about doing it myself is scaring me after 10 minutes. perhaps i will get you to do it after all :p

No problem - jets are in the bike so will have to remove them - or we can just do a complete carby swap as they are the same

As for the slipping clutch, provided the cable is adjusted correctly, then new oil is unlikely to fix it... especially if its revving like you say. New clutch is not that hard to install - im sure there is a "how to" thread on it somewhere here!

How much would be to ship the screen to 27360 I see your in austrailia

Yeah I didn't really believe him when he said that the oil in my bike might possibly be too good and changing to a lower quality oil would fix it lol

So 500 all told?

I'm going away on the 13th for 1.5 weeks so if we can't do it before then I'll send a deposit and we can work it out once we get back.

just a FYI if its a car synthetic it can mess with the clutch... there are friction reducing agents in car oil...

But dont be such a f%$king tightarse - those things cost twice as much and to have someone selling one that has plug-in wiring and backing plate already made for you, then offer them 200 bucks? Consider your face smacked
