Hey guys I know many of you are (w)ho(a)rding these parts so I figured I would help you take them off your hands before spring time rolls around

1)Sprockets- Looking for both front and rear. Not sure if mine are too worn but for ~$50 I'll change em. I'd like to keep them stock but won't really complain about -1 or +1 too much.
2)Chain- Don't really think anyone buys more then they need but just incase.
3)Front Brake Pads- Again, not sure if I really need them but am going to buy some and probably change them just because I can.
4)Reflectors- Not sure if these are even worth buying online or just going to a craft/autozone and fabbing up a custom bracket. I really on need a rear red one. But LMK.
5)Wheel tape- I think the reflecting wheel tape is a great idea and I'm very interested but again, is it worth buying 2nd hand?

Any input would be great, thanks!

Is this for a 1992? Need to know as it makes a difference on the front sprocket, brake and some other things.

Pretty certain I have both sprockets in good condition.
No extra chain. You can get good new chains for $50 or so. Chain and sprockets combo  $80-$125.
Front brake: Suggest calipers and pads from a newer bike. No point spending $25 for pads and $25 for a rebuild kit when I can give you a really good 2008 with probably 80% pads left for $20. Same for rear - check that one on your bike. $20. (Have both but no word from buyer for a week so available to anyone. )
Have reflectors and mountings. Can spare 1 red and all the orange (need to inventory everything - may need 3 red for Phenix)

Yes, it is for a 1992.
Let me know about Sprockets. And just so I'm clear you're saying you have newish pads and caliper? Are the older calipers really that bad? As for the reflectors, if I buy, I may as well buy a red with mount at the same time.

Thanks,
Ian

I'd throw in a reflector and mount.
As for 1992 calipers: probably about due to be rebuilt. As for pads, well, $20 or more  for pads in old calipers? Or $20 for 2008 calipers (might be 2007 or 2009) with good pads that won't need rebuilding for another 10 years or more. I's my  preference to do that on my bikes. I buy up calipers from wrecked bikes with 1000 or so miles. Still plenty of life in the pads and the calipers are newer and clean. I take old one off and drop in the new calipers.
Though it looks like on ebay you can get pads from $10-$25 (plus shipping) though I don't know the quality of some of them.
It does all come down to preference.
Now that my 1992 and 1994 bikes have new calipers, I'll probably replace pads when they need it in a couple of years. Phenix is getting new calipers, shock, 2008 front end, 1989 knuckle, 1997 rims, new tires, Shorai battery, OEM clip ons and all in a 1993 frame. Quite a hodge podge of vintages. Engine either a rebuilt 1989 or a 2006 but plan to use 2009 carbs and wiring harness.

Ah, I see. Instead of rebuilding you're suggesting just replacing the whole caliper for a newer one. As long as it's a direct fit I don't think I would have any problems. So I'd like Sprockets + Caliper (if it fits) + pads + Reflector!

I'll pm you my address so you can see shipping and get back to me on prices.

Calipers are a direct swap.
I'll PM you back tonight after I fetch some sprockets for you.
Check if your rotor are good. Anything else you need?
Weren't your side grab/luggage rails chopped by the previous owner? You were missing the tabs, the bracket for the tool kit and the 2 bolts that hold the rear fender to the tabs on the side rails.
I gots gobs uv thoz.

Legnd

I think I still have the side rails but am missing some parts. What the hell went into these screw holes?

And here is a closeup

Thanks,
Ian

We know the inner tabs of your side rails was cut off (seen in older photos).
As far as we know, nothing went into those screw holes.
I have heard there was an OEM luggage rack, though in all my parts whoring I have never found one. That might have mounted there. It is possible there was an aftermarket rack that used those screw holes.
I have plenty of extra side rails so I should throw in a pair for postage so you can have ones that have not been chopped off in the tail light area. Since you're trying to restore it to original, you should remove cobbled parts and put the right thing back on. That's the West Seattle way to do it!

I see your rear fender was chopped off a little crooked. I do have a couple that have been chopped but chopped with greater skill. They're slated for the dumpster. They will clean up nicely if you'd like to put on a better-chopped fender. It could go in a box and everything else lay in the fender.

Thanks Adidias, but I'm not too worried about the side rails/fender. If nothing goes in them, oh well. I think I'm going to fasten a bracket with foam to brace the tail light and I can easily clean the fender up with a dremel. I'm more just waiting to see how/where the license plate will end and then I'll cut neatly and put the reflector on. Honestly, thank you though.

Oh! Afterthought, I will take a tool mounting clip if you have extra!

Thanks,
Ian

I'll throw in the side rails.
The back of the fender mounts to them so the fender will be more secure. The clip for the little tool case mounts the same place as the fender to the side rails.
The rear of the fender will be much more secure and stable when  correctly mounted.

Turn signals connect to the.... rear fender. The rear fender is connected to the.... side rails. The side rails are connected to the... bike frame . . . . . and the wheels on the bike go round and round.

(Sorry - I mixed up "the ankle bone connected to the..." and "The wheels on the bus go round and round"  :cookoo: )

I guess the dumpster will get fed a few fenders

You're quite simply the best Adidias, let me know pricing shipped.

For what year motor? Plenty of front sprockets with the flange for the newer motors. 1997+ I believe?
Have rear sprockets. may come with cush drive. Sometimes too much to remove sprocket - but, then, why? If the drive is good.
