Ride 192 daily. Almost nailed a pocket bike next to Sam's club. Guy was riding it toward me in the dark and it only came up to my knee. Talking about a death wish!

I'm sorry but if you and the ride aren't at least 5ft tall when mounted you shouldn't be on a road!

have no idea what 192 is. HOWEVER ill say, if its anything other than a 2lane street then ill agree with you. 2lane streets, street legal pocket bikes and motorised bicycles have a right to be there. if its classified as a highway, then usually not.

Back to the point, I have a 1982 KZ750R that I use as a commuter and will be selling soon.  When I look online for other KZ750's to figure out pricing, 2/3rds of them are bobber'ed.  The KZ750 is a beautiful and very functional bike.  The bobbers that I see are not.

I like the old KZs Juan, where are you and how much are you thinking about selling for?

U.S. Route 192.  4-6 (or more?) lanes.  That guy is an idiot to have a pocket bike out there.

Also, check this beauty out:

Wow... Think maybe he should have a V-Twin in there to fill up the enormous gap in his chopper frame?

Airspace > extra weight....

Though, I doubt it could handle anything other than a freeway at walking speed without falling apart or killing you.

The Buddha

You read what he said didn't you, its been choped. Yea, that's what a choped bike looks like.
Cool.

I'm in San Diego. The bike is a STOCK 1982 GPz 750, back from when the GPz was a KZ with a black engine, black pipes, Eddie Lawson fairing, and 5 more horsepower. It works great, but has rust on the pipes, and could use a repaint as the factory paint is in 30 year old shape. The least I could let it go for is 1500, and I'm in no hurry to sell. The chain, sprocket, and rear tire all have Les than 100 miles on them, though that will change in the coming weeks.

I still need to restore the front rim with some sand paper, paint and polish.  If I were to decide to keep it I'd do a full repaint and replace the factory pipes.

Nice. You're about 3,000 miles away though, so I do not think I'm your target market.

If I build that, and make it clean, can I ask for 4k for it?

It'll be functional! :thumb:

ryott52

Yeah, not sure something you can do with a hacksaw and an afternoon makes the bike worth 4 grand.

BTW that is so cute ... I'll be the first to sdmit, I wont fork over 4K but I will fork over the street value of a GS+200 atleast.
That if it is that cute looking is worth atleast 200 even if I'd prefer the 89-00 body for that hack job.
Cool.

Im not talking about a hack job. im talking about removing the rear subframe, smoothing the holes, filling them, rebuilding/repurposing the rear section (to be function as factory with key to remove seat) re-weld it, grind it down nice and smooth, and get the entire bike powder coated.

I dont do hack jobs.

I do cheap jobs.

The Buddha

Yea I guess that should be more $$ than a GS. but I have powdercoated stuff, I have had frames done for 150-200 ... the cutting and welding and powdercoat I'd probably rate as a 750-1000 buck job, if you would find someone who wants a $2500 GS.

I quite like how he's covered up how he's mangled the rear end with ammo cans and olive drab bags.

And he wants so much!  That bike sold for $2,399 new at my local Yamaha dealer in the early 80's.  And now it has no seat.
