Put the new tank on, new gas lines, new clutch plates and basket, oil, and filter, waiting on the new bars, and top triple from adidasguy so i can put on the new handle bar grips, and hand guards, also waiting on my rear sets to be done at the weld shop, having the brackets cut and new ones welded on so i can use GSXR pegs.

Going to have to paint and have the dent filled in the tank. now just waiting on new exhaust gasets, The one pic is of the old clutch cover, all the clutch friction plates were burnt. put about a 1/8-3/16 groove in the cover. guess thats why i was having clutch problems, all because the PO didnt use a lock washer behing the clutch basket bolt.

So I got the grip guards on more of a wind shield than anything. Now the brake lever won't firm up. Have to try the other master tomorrow. Found out there is a difference in front masters. my 89 has the little glass piece in the front rather than the back of it so you cann't see it on the bike vs you can with the 06. and the replacement lever fits the 89 just fine but it is tight in the 06. well here is the bike as it sits now. going to hopefully fix the front brake tomorrow, and in a month or so get the tank painted.

Yeah I had a similar problem with my front brake, turned out it was the master cylinder, I replaced it with a brembo unit from a triumph speed triple.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

What all did you do on the front brake?
I remember sending a line, caliper and MS. Which did you put on?
Probably air in the brake line if it won't firm up. I know the parts I sent are good as they were from a running 2006 and I rode it before taking it apart.
Try re-bleading the brake.

Well first i couldn't get the dam front caliper off the bike so i just left it on there, and use the newer mater, and brake line. I tried to use the old crush washers, (ya i know I'm a ass) but i thought it would at least firm up a little, so i went to the auto parts store and got four new ones , and wham the things is firm at the first pump. Drove it to work today, clutch and brakes are working f%$king awesome!!!! but i didn't check the forecast and i got to ride home at 9:30 and it was 33* out. cold as hell. think i might get the plastics from you in summer if i get a new job.

Calipers are a tight fit.
To get one off, open it up as much as possible. I.E. push the piston back in all the way. With the pads farther apart, there is more room to angle the caliper out of there.
With no fluid, you can press it back in with your had. Gentle, firm pressure and in it goes.
At least your brakes are working.  When you get a chance, you can swap out the caliper.
Crush Washers: they only crush once. They don't spring back.

Well i got the oil seals and wipers in today, man i don't want to do this but i guess i will have to bit the bullet and put the seals in myself. maybe this week. Thinking of painting the bike a nice Suzuki Yellow. what do ya think.

I just went ahead and pulled the 89 forks and put a pair of 07's in that had new oil seals put in (only took about 20 min) so now she is done, for now. Getting a little bit of ticking from the engine after i changed the oil fto 10w-40 full sin. but i haven't been able to put may miles on yet, i will keep an eye on it and if it stays or gets worse i will have to take the clutch cover off again and make sure that nothing else has broken or come loose. but it runes great now so i think its just engine noise.

In the fall i will be doing a build by putting the fairings on it and a ducati tail on it. for now i'm going to take the newer tank off, and put the original one back one so i can get the newer on ready for paint.
