Squashed "Junk"

Ok, without being to graphic I'll ask this. On my old dual sport the seating position was upright...no problem. Now on my GS I'm leaning forward and I have to say my "junk", (if you catch my drift) is getting squashed such. No matter what I do it seems like it starts creeping back under. I can't be the only one? It's starting to get really annoying. I don't know if it's the friction of the seat fabric and my pants, my jockies or what. My old DS smooth vinyl seat never did this. What to do? Tips? keep it clean please. Could be kids reading this.

I have adidas brand underwear. Works for me.
You should be proud your junk is so massive there is no room for it.  :flipoff:

So cup your junk high and release as you sit on the bike. THEN, stay seated. No need to stand up on the pegs again and let your junk fall back down so you end up sitting on it again.

Defiantly not the only one. That's one of my few complaints with the GS I wish the front of the seat was textured like the back.

Adidas underwear huh? I was thinking something like Hanes. You know....Hanes, won't bacon :icon_lol:
Or
Adidas...no squashing.

People gotta be thinking WTH when the see me standing on the pegs and moving like Elvis trying to get things in place. At least other bikers know. They should make a seat with a groove like they do for men's bicycle seats. Now that would be nice.

In all seriousness I think it's because I mainly ride in work pants like Dockers and shift forward and back on my 45min commute. They're a little baggier with more room for things to get displaced than do jeans.

Solution = stop sliding forward and backward  :thumb:

I feel you pain my ACU's(Army Combat Uniform) make me do the same thing. It's not so bad in jeans.

Handlebar risers? Going to a slightly more upright seating position might help?

A more drastic approach could include surgery, but you'd probably need to be leaning that way to begin with.

I suspect that if a GS causes these issues, you probably shouldn't start lusting after a Ducati just as an FYI.

same problem here as well.

I've actually started to consider getting this for the front as well as the back.

I know this isn't the cheapest solution, but you could add padding to the front of the seat so you aren't pushed towards the tank, and then replace the seat cover with a textured one.

This is a common problem on modern motorcycles with a deep cutout for the seat.

My nuts were borked long ago. After awhile you develop callouses on them.

I can't recall who, but someone on the boards here cut off the very front of the seat where it covers the tank, and then moved that portion back on the seat as a cosmetic mod.  Seems like that would be a good option, if you're willing to hack up your seat.   :thumb:

Uhm, I don't have that problem anatomically. But I do notice when I'm getting tired (not using my abs as much) I start sliding down. So, maybe work on the abs and grip the tank more with your thighs to keep from sliding down.  :dunno_black:

Watch that you're not getting lazy and arching your back. Your junk will get underneath you if  you start arching your back. Sit up and hump your back a little.

What handle bars do you have? If you have low clip-ons/vortex/clubmans you will be leaning forward a lot putting your junk at risk.
Raise up the handle bars or move them back towards you so you sit more upright.

Good, sexy underwear that pushes the junk forward will help. Boxer briefs? Athletic underwear?

mister

Stop sliding forward and backward. I am puzzled how/why you do this?

Grab your junk with your hand, pull it up and out of the way, get on bike. You're good to go.  :thumb:

or mod the padding of seat to accomodate mr johnson. ( or look into  a cup/supporter of some kind. ) if the aforementioned techniques dont work. risers are a good idea though.
