Hey all,

I'm a first time carb cleaner and would like to thank everybody for all the great info they have posted.  The site has helped tremendously!  Unfortunately....I ran into an issue that requires a post.

I'm working on a '92 and just found the rubber tip of one of my float needles ripped off and laying on the needle's seat.  Wondering if anybody knows where I could buy 1 or 2 of these tips? If I can't just buy the tips, where could I buy just the float needles?  I would hate to have to purchase the whole needle valve assembly.

Thanks!  Your help is much appreciated!!!

Cheers!

These parts wear together and that is why they are sold as a set.  I can sell you a set from parts carbs that I have.  I will clean them as well as I can, but no gaurentees and you will have to provide your own o-ring for the seat.  It would be cheap.  $8 shipped.

And I see this is your first post.  Welcome!

save yourself the trouble and time and buy new. It's just easier. I would rather smash my fingers with a sledge than deal with that damn airbox and it's boots. This pay day ordering a lunchbox and jets! eff that damn airbox!

Thanks for the offer bombsquad83!  But shortly after posting, I found new needles on eBay.  The same page as the link posted by ATLRIDER.

And Yes... dropitlow88, the airbox is a MUTHA!  Hopefully in a few days, when I get this needle replaced, I won't have to go back in for a while!

Cheers!

The airbox boots are a lot easier to get on the carbs properly if you take the air filter element out and reach through the airbox.  Then you can easily get the boots seated around the carb throats with fingers helping from inside and outside.  Then just reinstall the filter.
