They won't tell me what it is but I have to attend a dress up event the day before graduation.  Strange that all they say is "You have been selected to recieve an award to be presented on..."

I wonder what it is?  Now that for the first time in my life I have touched what it is to be a real college student, and fit into college beautifully, I am graduating    God damn I wonder what I could have done had I gone full time years ago.

Anyway.  I just thought I would share.  Plus I'm gonna prove even an old fart can still make it through college despite being senile.

I did go to college.. and I totally wasted it, didn't get what I wanted to from it, didn't get what they were trying to cram in me, didn't develop as a better all round person... nothing. So If I had the chance to do it all over... I'll wait till I had the life and work experience and then hit college. BUt hey In India you dont get choices... You parents tell you to go to school and you go... then they tell you to go to college and you go... of course they also tell you to live at home for life and people do that... so life lets say is different there.
So to your point... Congrads... and believe me... you got more out of it now than you would have back then. And believe me when I say this... education and colleges have improved a lot since the days of your youth... back in the 1930's wasn't it... Ha ha... lets hear it for the geezer... whoooooo hooooo.

Thanks people.  I am so curious about what kind of an award I am getting.  Time will tell I guess.  I just got a call to give my speech to the commencement comittee(sp?) on Monday afternoon.  I have been told they whittled down the list to two people.  I will have to try to give a good performance.

I feel like I am in a dream, that this stuff can't be real -but it is.  Nobody knows about the commencement stuff except for my wife and you people(what does that say about me?).  I want it to be a surprise IF I get selected,  I can only imagine the look on my parents face if I get up to give the commencement.
