Ah scratch that ^, thats just for the innards, still cheap if thats all you need

#4
Granted its about 75 cheaper than original but it says its ABS plastic shell? Would that melt with a higher bulb?
Also
The bulb is not interchangeable with H1 or H4 bulbs (halogen)
It is a glorified torch and seems too good to be true.
BUT buy one and fit it and let us all know.
You might be on a winner.

Not free postage either. $25.00au to Australia. Still cheaper than genuine.

I'm thinking of buying one of these, but if I wanted to uprate the headlight to say, 55w, would I just have to put a 55w bulb in? Or is there more to it?

Thanks :)

Depends.

If the housing is cheap crppy plastic, or the wiring/connector is just barely up to standard, putting in a higher power bulb means you could risk ending up with a smoking mess.
I like a non-sequitur as much as the next Giraffe.

Theres only 1 way to find out I guess. :) Are the 25w and 55w bulbs the same fitting so it should slot in?

Big Rich

Being that the seller states they are not compatible, I would guess the housing itself isn't made for an H4 bulb. So you would basically have to modify it to "make" it fit, then find out it will melt the plastic surrounding it later.

What I'm trying to get at is it will be cheaper to buy a "proper" headlight now and be done with it. Check out the lights on WWW.mikesxs.com or www.dimecitycycles.com
