I've always told myself I'd never buy used boots.. Well that changed last night;



I stumbled onto another Craigs post, $75 for hardly used set of Sidi boots. They fit just about perfect, have barely any use, and come with original box(and warranty papers)

Tried them on, fit was great in the foot, a little tight on the calf, but was still able to zip them up fine.

First impression: Overall I'm very pleased! Was curious to see if they'd hurt my feet any. Wore them for about an hour(walking around and hanging out at a friends) with no complaints! I got home, threw my 1pc leathers on, the boots zipped up, a hair tight, but still very comfortable. It was rainy out, but I sat on the DRZ and everything lined up nicely. Only thing i noticed is shifting with the steel toe will take a bit of getting use to.

Can't wait to get a good ride with these! I'll update this thread after I knock a few miles down with them.

Wow, looks like someone got the wrong size or something. Those don't look like they were every used. Great find.

Yeah, good deal!  And hardly used.

I got a pair of Tourmaster Solution WP boots for $15 shipped, "worn twice" but absolutely no evidence: no scuffs in the arches or marks on the toe from the shifter.

I'm pretty damn stoked on these! Got a quick lunch hour ride yesterday with them. They feel GREAT!!!! Riding the supermoto with these on, and throwing a leg out in turns doesn't feel sketchy at all anymore! They are much more confidence inspiring so i have to keep myself in check haha

I was right about getting use to shifting with the steel toe.  I normally ride with the shifter pretty much right on my big toe knuckle. Now with the boots settled on the peg it's put the shifter right about my big toe nail. This isn't a problem, just need pay more attention to how far i pull my toe to shift. Definitely missed a couple gear, and caught neutral with a rev once after not pulling all the way up into 2nd

the steeltoe shifting DOES take some getting used to lol. , not overly difficult but still it does. considering tehyre not as flexible as normal shoes/boots

I bought a similar pair of boots of a forum member for $50(were a bit more used though) and they're awesome. They're my second pair of Sidi boots, but I've had 2-3 pair of sidi cycling shoes too. They've always been great. The current pair isn't that great for walking. The leather on the inside tends to rub my ankles pretty rough. They're fine for rides, but if I'm going to a bike night or somewhere I'm gonna do a lot of walking, I wear something else.

Riding in real boots is so much better. you'll get used to the shifting, It's really efficient once you get the hang of it. The only thing that feels better on a supermoto is dirtbike boots, but they're a little bulky for normal use haha.

Put around 300 miles on these so far. Wore then in hotter(80*F) and some colder(high 30'sF) They are amazing still!

There was a pair of Alpinestar full shin w/ buckles on craigs. they didn't look to be in as good shape as these Sidi's were, but they are only asking $50.. might have to check those out this weekend.

If anyone's looking at a good comfortable, well fitting, great feel(on and off bike) boots. I would suggest trying on some Sidi's at yer local moto shop
