I don't recall what the specific size is, but I've got an extra pair.  I replaced them with bar end mirrors, so they're just sitting in my toolbox.  They're brushed aluminum, about an inch in diameter and 1.25 inches long, rounded on the ends.  If you want them, I'll send them to you for $10 inc. shipping.  The bolts I used are a bit rusty, so you might want to replace them or clean them up.

Make sure you're talking about the same type of bar end.  Up through at least '99 there is a threaded insert in the end of the handlebar that the bar end screws into.  (See my Throttle Retainer page for pictures.)

Later years apparently come with a compression fit bar end.  I'm not sure what year that started - probably 2001.

Here is the pic.  To Kerry's point, these are for the older style handlebars with the threaded inserts.  Turns out the bolts just had a little surface rust, and a quick once over with the Brillo took care of it.  Each bar end weighs 1.125 oz alone, and 1.5 oz with the bolt and washer.  Those are hex bolts, by the way.

Thanks,
