Single Seat conversion? Also any Brisbanites good with tools?

Considering converting my 09 GS500F to a single seater, mainly because I can never see myself carrying a pillion (I don't feel experienced enough at 19 having held a licence for ~9 months, to risk someone else's life). Even when I can legally hold a passenger after I've had my licence for 12 months, I just can't see myself doing it, and it doesn't seem worth paying TWICE as much for rego on the off chance that I might want to.

I'm thinking of just finding a used seat, because I can always convert it back a few years down the line if I feel like it. The passenger foot pegs though, do they screw off? Someone told me I'd have to cut them off which I'm not that keen to do........

The guy I had do my RWC said he can do the compliance stuff if I take off the footpegs and convert the seat.....have any of you done it?

Second thing, I definitely want to put Oggy Knobs on my bike, even though I know it means drilling a hole in the fairings. It just seems worth it to me, and I don't think they look bad. I can't see myself crashing really, mainly just concerned about stationary drops (i.e. braking really hard and laying the bike over, which I did a couple times on my 250 which was 40kg lighter).

Can anyone help me out? As a 19yo girl I don't have the tools to install them, drill for the hole, or any mechanical know-how, and I don't fancy spending a truck load of money having a bike shop do it for me. Thinking of getting these R&G frame sliders [http://www.amcmotorcycles.com/contents/en-uk/d2047_rg-racing_suzuki_crash_protectors.html], as well as a dark smoke double bubble tinted screen, which will set me back a reasonable $250 for both.

I don't know how long it takes, but I'll give someone $50 to install the crash knobs for me?

I converted mine to single seat rego by removing the rear pillion pegs. They are held in place by a surclip and a pin. At most you will need pliers and a hammer and punch (or old screwdriver) You won't have to cut them just remove. As for the seat you don't have to cut that either if you can get hold of a seat cowl similar to the one I have in this pic

A member here called adidasguy had some and sold me mine for $80 posted. All I did was paint it with a rattle can. You will also need to remove the rear grab bar.

Oggy knobs are a good idea for stationary drops. R&G can be got cheaper on eBay than at that store.

Speak to Brian Harper on 0402 544 115. He does Mobile Roadworthies for motorcycles. Also do a google and you'll find his website with things you need to do.

I found it was more convenient for him to come to me.

As got the knobs, I'm thinking it would make a good "how to" video. Slips is looking got ideas for videos to do. Sounds like a matchup to me.

Talk to Ozzy about the single seat his been the cheapest I've seen, around 80 bucks. Take your grab bar off and your pillion pegs and your good to go. You don't need a cowl but it's a personal choice. Crash sliders are a good idea so if you get em give us a hoy and give it a go I've never done it to a f model. Only to my naked.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

When I took my Hornet back to two seat, I drove my car the the Trans Dept to do the paperwork. Noone wanted to have a look at anything cause I already had the cert saying it was all good. Brian gave me the cert. Def check with Ozzy about going to one seat, but if he doesn't have the plate (which he didn't at the time I went to two seat) then Brian is your man.
