A little bit more than I'd be willing to pay (but not too much more) and I'd like to see the pipes end in the scrambler shrouded mufflers, but this one looks to be pretty nicely done.

I've been eyeing CL360's lately.  Originally was looking for a CB350 or 360 Twin, which is what my dad had while I was young, but I'm finding that the looks of the scrambler are pulling me stronger than family nostalgia is.  :)

Any CL360 I get will likely end up with a slight Cafe Racer transformation anyways, so this one is looking pretty sweet.  I'd prefer to not actually bob the frame though.

Now that I like!

Doug, just making sure you know: they made CL350's as well. Basically just like the CB350 with some minor differences and scrambler pipes. The 360's are completely different motors (and chewed up camshaft bearings due to poor oiling).

Know anybody with a 15" inseam and a death wish?

Those hacks unfortunately are far too common on xs650's. Its a rather nice bike which really is suffering from its surge in popularity.

And did you see the picture(s) - yes 2 pics, but they are the same ... like WTF these morons cant get pics of their bike and you trust them to weld up the frame so you wont have it break up on the road.  :cookoo:

Not a bobber - but someone wants $50 for a scratched up rotor cover with no logo sticker. Have they no clue what crapo is worth?

That looks exactly like the one I pulled off my GS when I dropped it. Definitely paid a guy 10 bucks for the one off his parts bike.

As much as I dont like it, it may be one of those few bikes that may be worth the $. Amen savior frame (looks like one or a damn good copy) and a durfee FE. The rake on a durfee can be changed by making a pair of those linkages. Easy, 10 min job. I know someone who has one on his savage. Really cool.
Then there is a cb1000 ? I never heard of a 1000 - 1100 yea, 900 yea, not a 1000 till you get to the 90's.

Why do people insist on doing this to old CB750s?

That also looks like an amen savior or one of those amen others ...
I think it could be done a lot better IMHO ... I saw one in sacramento back in the 90's, it was disabled on the side of the road with a broken chain if I recall and had a typical silver and blue flame paint job with flecks of silver ... however the bike was something that could have passed for a factory bike. Its back end was more like a savage than any hack job, and the front was also well made. Looked like factory literally, cant describe it any other way.

Frame maker from the mid west - I believe mid west ... but here is a link to a scan of a catalog from them from the 70's ...
http://www.angelfire.com/tn/bikes/frameid.html

Back when you could buy a frame for 300 bucks and move all the parts over off your bike if you ahve wrecked it and ruined your day. I will now read up on it and correct my mis conceptions ...

Amen frames are cool because ... well they're not around any more. Sorta like a myers manx is cool. Cos you had to have got one in the 70's if you want one ... impractical yes, but atleast it is rare and old.
