i have only been a member of this site for only a few days and i have already recieved the answers to many questions i had. i figured i'd go to this collective knowledge center for yet another question.

i have a '92 gs500 and i am changing the flamboyant pink on purple to black. i intend to replace the factory decals from a different year to somewhat match my new color. does any one have a link or a pic where a can see all GS 500 factory decals to make a better choice? i swear to  freakin god, you guys freakin rock.  thanks for being there for me. :)

I have purchased OEM parts from them on several occasions, all with good success, including the stripes.  Click the above link.  Their website will take you through a few steps -- brand, year, model -- followed by a series of fiche-like schematic lists.

Good luck.

Why would you want to change the current purple and pink color scheme?  It sounds cool, in a "alternative lifestyle man Eye For The Straight Guy" kind of way.  ;)  Try this link; it has Suzuki showrooms from past years, and might have popup pictures of past models to get you an idea:

http://gsx.suzuki.com/~sucycles/sr_02/showroom_2002.htm

You can also do a Google search using "Suzuki showroom 2001" and get a site that goes back to 1997, but it wouldn't run on the computer I'm using at the moment (multiple script errors).

Lastly, visit the wall of fame on this site to get some ideas of some others' bikes...

If you didn't necessarily want the factor decals there are other ideas. I'm sure you can go to a local vinyl decal shop and get whatever you want added to the bike; might even be cheaper and look better too. Stop in one and see what they say; they can usually give you a lot of examples/options.

I have a friend who "bats for the other team."  I asked him if he'd want to learn to ride on my purple-with-pink-and-white '92 GS.  He said he wouldn't be caught dead on it! he wants a dark Monster.  Sorry, folks, the  purple GS even fails the "alternative lifestyle man eye" test!
