Hahaha maybe :P

I feel like an instant criminal whenever I put it on haha when in reality I just don't like my nose getting cold and visor fogging up at night :(

If anyone else is interested in getting one for the winter, they were like $4 at Aldi this week. Mum went to 3 different ones though to find it though...

Current Challenge is: Your bike with a baby capsule with a baby in it.

The only way I can think of to get this pic is to sit around a shopping centre, waiting to find a mother with a baby...and hope she doesn't scream and call the cops when I ask to borrow her baby haha
...

Formori

I'm with Aussie on this one, I know lots of people that have kids, but none are "babies" that I could borrow for this.

Again, including other people or too much work for a challenge kills the game. The point of the game is to post a topic and get the picture FIRST!

I might have to take up the girly challenge of the Fish & Chips place.
Save a horse, ride a bike!

I could do it if you give me about a month for the wife to deliver our first.

OK, I guess I gad to do it since no one else did.

Looking up next challenge.........

Well, I didn't see a gas station on the list. There was an "alternative fuel" one. There was one for a closed down gas station.
So, show us filling up your GS500 at a gas station.

mister

You sure that's not photoshopped Addy? Since when do you Americans know what a Chip is? Or is this like a Specialty British-food shop or something. Spill the beans on this Fish and Chip shop on the land of fries.....

Haha! Fish & Chips restaurants are rare here. I haven't seen any here in the southern part of the land of fries.  I remember one near Boston... And there is a chain called Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips in the northern part of the States. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur_Treacher's

Gas station will be easy! but I am lazy and it's cold outside...might fill up tomorrow so I hope none of you get the pic before me, or I'll have looked like a retard taking photos of my bike at the petrol station for nothing :(

P.s. Adidasguy, is your aftermarket or stock with some kind of plastic protecting thing? If it's stock, where did you get the plastic bits to stop it scraping the ground in a drop?

It looks like they are R & G racing frame sliders

http://www.rg-racing.com/browseBike/Suzuki/GS500_FullyFaired/All_Years/CP0158BL.aspx

Happened to be the first googled hit, but there available elsewhere I'm sure, such as ebay.

AussieChick

Oh no not them, I did just install (with the help of Slipperymongoose and Codajastal!) that exact set of frame sliders on my bike though...

What a retard, I just re-read my post and forgot to put the word EXHAUST in. I wanted to know if his exhaust is aftermarket, or just stock with some plastic protectors...

My bad.

Phil B

They're R&G exhaust protectors if i recall correctly

+1 on the R&G exhaust protectors... they look to be on a stock exhaust though.

R&B bar ends
R&G frame sliders (thing on the lower front fairing)
R&G muffler protectors (yes, stock exhaust. My other bikes have aftermarket exhausts and the exhaust protectors)
European OEM clip on bars
Lights4All smoke turn signal lenses and LED smoked tail light
Denali fog lights (mounted where the reflectors used to go)
Harley stick-on fork reflectors
Side marker lights / turn signals from somewhere
White reflective wheel rim tape (available everywhere)
Custom seat from Germany (I forget who)
Zero Gravity double bubble (sold to someone on the board, now I have a Zero Gravity sport touring wind screen)
I think it is the SW Motec rear carrier and a strap on bag
Oh, ASV brake lever and ASV clutch lever (on a Honda F4 perch with custom clutch cable by MotionPro)
((Other bikes have LSL levers which are 100% compatible on the clutch side - the only $125 clutch lever that is GS500 compatible))

AND a carbon fiber rear hugger
AND the old style mud flap added to the front fender.
AND all 4 indicators switched to LED and the gauges have LEDs.
AND front running light is an LED

AussieChick

Nice! There's a heap of things on that list I need to get for my bike...just got the frame sliders (because I still feel a bit n00bish on this bike and I know I'll eventually drop it!). Want a double bubble zero gravity screen, luggage rack, I like the look of the exhaust protector, and I've been meaning to hop onto ebay to get some rim tape...that's probably all I'll do though, maybe aftermarket exhaust eventually...

Good move keeping the engine stock though  :thumb: I've been told by many people that the more you do to it, the more it will go wrong...I just want my bike to look pretty haha.
...

adidasguy

Forgot to mention there is a carbon fiber ("fibre" for the non US people? like "tyres"?) rear wheel hugger. Helps keep the suspension clean.

Number 1 on your list should be the R&G sliders and the muffler protectors. That will protect your bike and probably prevent the turn signals from punching through the fairing.

Now, will someone please put gas in your bike and snap a picture?

mister

I need gas. So I can certainly get this on the way to work in the morning...
