I'm starting to throw money at my bike

Ordered my manual today from Amazon(GStwin gets it's cut :P ).

I think I'll go with bikebandit for goodies since they're closer to me than Ron Ayers. They wanted my VIN info for engine case guards. When they come back with # for them then it's guards and progressive springs. 8)

I'm thinking of the drop in K&N too, with no restrictor! :nono:  Are there standard original jet sizes for all American bikes(2000 model)? Or could they be different depending on the area they're sold in? What I'm looking for is to buy 1 & 2 sizes up on pilot and main jets(non-bleeding I believe?).

From some of the latest threads maybe one tooth down (15) for the countershaft(just in case!). 8)

Then there's the Vanc & Hines. Hmmmmmm I don't really want more noise, but power, yes, I like power.

I like a quiet bike too.  I'm not sure if there are any aftermarket exhaust systems that don't make a huge increase in sound.  I tried the F1r, but it was too loud.  I read somewhere that in a dyno test, the F1s (which is quieter) actually dyno'd higher.  The V&H is really loud too.  Maybe the F1s is a good compromise.
You cannot escape our master plan!

I gutted my exhaust, sounds borla almost.  You prolly wouldn't like it.

THe F1s might be the right compromise. Freer flowing to compliment the K&N filter, but not too loud. Cheaper than the V&H is a plus too. :)

Don't deceive yourself.  You can have it quiet, or, you can have it loud. What good is the extra horsepower or two if you're too self-conscious about the screaming motor to get them.

I am making case guards... Soon, have steel and making the bends right now... but the other crap has hit the fan, yesterday the rain and my vulcan sale and subsequent delivery killed my night... They are 1 inch OD, Thick wall... like 3/16 wall and thick end plate with stainless steel bolts... I am making a batch of 25, with ~ $40 as my target price... and I will get them powdercoated. Cos 25 will be a decent number to make a batch for the powder coaters. The thinks wear out in a crash and slide... they just blow through the wall... that's its extreme case... mine are thick walled so never will burn through.
Cool.
