when i start my gs500f it doesnt make any rattling noise when im on 1st 2nd 3rd 4th gear at arround 3rpm to 5rpm it makes a rattling like soft noise is it something i should worry about ? i bought the bike used and it has always been that way

Define rattling noise.  Can you post a video?

Make sure all bolts/screws are tight?

Read through This Thread, and see if it sounds like something similiar to what you experience?

Probably some relected noise from the fairing ~ friend of mine had a GS850G that was even worse. Air-cooled motors are mechanically noisier and sometimes a fairing amplifies it back at the rider. Our 2007 had a lesser amount of this noise but it was still there ~ more like a humming/rattling...

Please, for the love of god, can you punctuate your sentence.

We need punctuation and full stops and sentences that start with capitals and the rest of the rules that makes written language readable. All because text has no tone.

OMG its the grammer police

This may sound weird buy I had a similar low rpm noise and it went away after I cleaned and lubed the chain. Just sayin'.

The Wife had a Ninja EX500 once.  That thing rattled 10 ways from Breakfast.  It was something in the fairing.  Gave up after 1 hour trying to find out where it was.  Just ended up riding it since the idle was the only speed when it made noise.

thanx to every one even the grammar police  for their replys,  its a noise coming from the engine like a rattle fast ticking kinda loud when ur riding but not that low as an espectator. could it be a loose piston from a slip???

Most likely valves.  When was the last time you inspected the clearance?  If it's a tick-tick-tick then it's probably valves.

When I bought my 2007 500F it had a rattling sound that originated from the front left hand side of the winscreen / fairing under certain RPMs. I unscrewed it all and popped some door seal foam tape in and screwed it shut - no more rattle.

You can check when you hear the rattle by squeezing the side of the fairing where it meets the side of the windscreen and see if the rattle stops - otherwise I would fear something more mechanical..
