There are few more IL riders out there for sure.  This probably won't happen until later in the summer considering the condition a few of the new members bikes, or lack there of.

How much more power is there in the SV650 than the GS? Is it forgiving at all?

My bike isn't 100% yet either, so I put myself in that category.  I'm not planning on showing up to meet with a tank with the paint sanded off and unsanded bondo spots .  I was mostly referring to those who don't even have one in their posession yet.

I am actually in the process of moving to Aurora from Iowa! Just waiting to sell my house 

I am going to be a new rider of a 2008 Suzuki GS500F and live in the Northwest Suburbs.

Since Bomb mentioned it in another thread, I'm bumping this thread up again.

We need to get some more interest here!  We definately could meet up somewhere centrally located, or where there are some decent roads (few and far between in illinois).  Maybe set up a parking lot session with some halved tennis balls?! I dunno, but we need to get this ball rollin'... Summertime passes quick!

Since everyone except me seems to be up north, maybe we should meet somewhere around Starved Rock?  I haven't been there for a very long time, but I intend to make my way up I-39 from Bloomington sometime to check it out.
