Okay, i'll tell you about my bike real quick, it's an '06 GS500F, however, the previous owner "totaled" the bike, apparently no major damage was done, so the fairings were removed, i now have a stock '06 GS500E headlight and mirrors, simple blinkers, and everything else seems fine.

now that ive introduced my bike,  ive got some ideas for it.

Originally i was only going to upgrade the air-filter, but really, who can only do that? (And i heard that can cause the bike to run lean)

so my plan's are:
K&N air filter (already ordered one to fit my bike, should be in tomorrow)
new slip-on exhaust (the stock is a bit beat up from the crash) i was thinking yoshimura, any ideas? i like a deep loud sound, preferably not something that'll make me sound like a pissed off bumblebee  :icon_razz:
i do have one more question on exhausts, does anybody know how steel vs titanium vs carbon exhausts sound when compared?
and i've heard once you go that far you need jets, and ive also heard buddha on this forum is the go-to guy if i need to go that far.

are there any other mods or parts anybody would recommend? i'm open to suggestions (or criticisms!)

Two areas to browse:

1. "What have you done for your bike today?". That topic will give you tons of ideas. This is where everyone announces their latest accomplishments, fixes and mods.

2. The complete PROJECTS/BUILDS area. Here you see people who have detailed everything about a single bike project. Lots of ideas there - take time and browse through the different projects. You might want to read them in reverse order so you see the finished project first then read back in time to see how they did it.
