The weekend I rode 300kms in the Ride for Dad tour with over 600 other bikes!

And then last night I got her a new tank bag! :icon_mrgreen:

Only problem was that I wanted the tank bag for the tour on Saturday and the post office held it till Monday!

The next project is to replace the front and rear turn signals, but I'm having a hard time deciding what I like on the front...

I did the a valve adjustment on the bike after it hadn't been done in years.  It's amazing what a difference it makes!

Welcome! What a surprise to find you're in Seattle and are joining the West Seattle GS500 Club!

Put on chuck81's left side cover. I got the OEM sticker off with only  a  very slight ding so it is good to re-use.
Wiped down Phenix to show him off at Backfire Moto tonight. He's sporting the new Motad muffler, a Progrip tank protector, as well as the change in paint where the red on the tail got covered with the matching gray. (Pix of Backfire will get posted)
Oh, yea, andthe new (old European) OEM GS500 adjustable fork caps. Cool!

I have to send a secret thanks to all the members I got parts from for Phenix - like the SV650 mirrors, fork caps and other parts - and all the support, help, tips and things I learned here on the board.

Phenix came out as one sexy bike! Thanks everyone.

Someday when I am retired and the kid is out of the house, I'll work on an epic project like this for sure!
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

Changed air filter and spark plugs! And took a 50 (yes, fifty...  :cookoo:) mile trip for no reason whatsoever up in the hills on twisty and steep roads! :)

Got my T-10 bulbs in the mail.  Not superbright, but E-Bay Honda Civic marketed ones.  4 pack for $7 shipped from CA to OH.  Not bad.  Replaced the little park light in front and the 2 instrument lights, and had one left over.

Speedo and Tach

Parking Light

Nice and bright now!  Need to get some Superbrightleds for the rear tail/stop/license light.  Makes me want to get a HID for the headlight.

And for me i swapped the old air filter for a K&N air filter (i put the block until i have jets), Applied chain wax to my chain (and couldn't find the master link! you'd think after 13 years of dirt bikes i could do that one simple thing  :D) and ordered a brand new Yosh pipe for my bike! (jets are soon to come)

Zwerski

One of the PO's head a bettery leak. Last week I touched up the acid etches on the frame. Yesterday I freshened up the etches and rusty battery box with black paint and frame crossmember with silver engine enamel.

It's an I-wire 13 litre magnetic tank bag that I bought off gearscanada.com cause it was cheap and fast shipping, link is here:

It's a little cheaply made, and doesn't hold a lot, but for me on daily work commute it works great!

that sounds exactly like what i need, i'm deciding between 2-3 bags right now, or just fabricating my own system (i'll get there eventually))

Thank you!

Put in a Sylvania Silverstar 9003 bulb to help with night driving.

Well see how it does later on tonight.

Two days in one post, aren't I efficient...

Got my new chain guard on, and installed new guage overlays and painted needles.
Not too sure about the carbon look, I may switch it up later....

thanks adidas

I replaced the fork seals, chain and sprockets and the valve cover gasket. Then I removed sticker from the front fender and washed the bike. Feels like a new one.
