i am a 37 almost 38yo diabetic. and the only one in family that didnt require glasses. fast forward to last week. i cant read teh damned signs across from shop. like i used to be able to. however long this has been going on idk. but ppl dont postpone your eyes  guess im getting into glasses now. no biggie. just laughing at the irony of it all  , its like haha, i dont need em, then next week. well maybe i do. no biggie, will make appt soon and get this squared away. myopia FTW lol

Yep that's about when it starts, 40 +/-. I started with store bought cheap reading glasses and slowly progressed to now wearing trifocals. I used to have better then 20-20 vision, then I got old and so did my eyes. They just can't focus on things like they used to.  for the glasses.

had a dilated eye exam in 2009 for my diabetes. cant afford one of those as of yet. but will get the cheap on special walmart eye exam. my closeup is exquisite. 20/20 in left, and 20/40 in right. but at distance its not as good. cant read signs. cant really tell the difference between our glock signs, our smith and wesson or our kimber etc. except by shape. i can see the guitars semi clearly upon wall @ same location. but reading signs = no.

I was in the fifth grade.  Sat in the very front row of the class, couldn't see sh!t.  Squinted so hard and long that I would get headaches.  I passed the state mandated vision tests by memorizing the eye charts.  They used to only have one variant.  It was something like E-FP-TOZ-LPED or something like that.  ALL WERE LIKE THAT.  When they started randomizing the charts, I was caught.  Soon, I had 4 eyes, and been wearing glasses ever since.

I had perfect eyes until I was driving down the road squinting at street signs til they passed. Realizing, "oh damn that never came into focus."

Now i don't get lost as much at night.... Thanks to google navi, not my expensive ass glasses

im not tied to a gps. i know more about this town than a gps does. ive told police how to get from point a to b and not be seen by the baddies. ive driven almost 3 million miles. 2999998 were AF. in this town/area ive driven maybe 3 times since suspension. final 2 were when i hit the tree with miss piggy. ive driven since then ONLY if i had to. ( to get to pharmacy for my many medications. and no alternative was present. i made an appt with my optho surgeon. to stop/slow progression. my eyes are my livelyhood. just going to figure what started this.  ( my diabetes) street signs were a problem in 09. my hba1c was at 13.9 ( very bad) now its down to 8.9 i am thoroughly happy with that. still not good. but heading in right direction. but the damage in legs is already done. standing is almost impossible for periods. ive got motohuffy im building. as well as working for a 2007? chinese 150cc scooter. got it started today. it has 4.5 miles on it. never been registered. police wont hassle me. im friendly wiht all of them but one. and related to a couple . but it will be used ONLY on days motohuffy is down for service. ( or in rain. )

I had better than 20/20 vision to, then i got old and turned 14... but my eyes are getting better now at 18!

mine are goin backwards. have appt in a month to see of vessel damage is occuring.
