Nice, thick stainless steel. This is the raw material - you can buff it to a high gloss, rub it for a dull finish, run over it with 400 grit for a matt finish or leave as is.
The stainless steel is high grade - the same grade as used for stuff you eat off of.
These are the same height as stock so those with Airbrush's rear hugger: just drill your two holes and you're ready to go. The fit is the same (I have his huggers on all my bikes so I made sure of that  )

Are any of these stainless steel chain guards still available? Saw one on ebay a few weeks ago, made a mental note to check again in the future. Haven't seen any more pop up on ebay, but then I stumbled across this thread...I should have known adidasguy had something to do with them.

Got my chainguard from adidas during the week but just got it on today.  I'm liking it.  Thanks adidas!

I'll add a +1 to the chain gaurds, i love the look and security of mine! i find it nice to know theres a piece of steel covering my chain  i wouldnt mind it if the chain was a bit higher / more covered behind the gaurd, but it leaves plenty of room to compensate for modifications (like a larger rear sprocket)  5 / 5 stars from me
