As i'm starting to get a better idea of my final plans for my bike i keep bouncing back and forth, ive seen some awesome bikes with gold shift levers / brakes but they usually either look a bit cheesy or too over done, there are some really nice looking ones to but i dont think there's enough support for the GS500 that i could pull it off (then again i can paint my own stuff i suppose) where as silver (not nessicarily chrome) almost seems too bland, then again i really like a bike that flows and black / silver looks good together, ive come up with a few paint scheme's with this as well, just can't decide. (I've also considered doing both) Out of curiousity, what do you guys like?

on a side note, i considered green as well but i'm not painting my suzuki kawasaki green lol

Do what makes you happy man. You'll have a blast painting them, and kawa green will get you noticed on the road. It's a safety thing!

I'm leaning towards silver a bit more, but the main colors' definitely going to be black, i may a gold lever for the clutch lever though.
Does anybody know how easy / hard it is to paint a gas tank? i'm going for a shiny (but not sparkly) black since the current paint is scratched and chipped, i need to take some rust off as well. I also plan to paint most of the plastic on the back, but keep the center piece silver (i'm debating on a silver stripe on the gas tank as well)
