Although court proceedings are a matter of public record, the transcripts don't often get passed around the internet.  This one's worth a read.

From my layman's legal understanding, I think the accused is trying to force a mistrial and his honour is having none of it.

I can say with absolute certainty that his profanity would not have been allowed in our courts here.  He would have been incarcerated until he could maintain a civil demeanor.  Ridiculous.

People get thrown in the cells for less here, the reason the judge ignores him and proceeds is because the theatrics are just an attempt to delay the trial.  The guy's being held in remand anyway.

slipperymongoose

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Actually Yama, he WAS going about it the right way.

If you agree that you UNDERSTAND you agree to STAND UNDER the thing (usually a part of law code) you agreed to. You accept that code, in otherwords.

If you do Anything the judge tells you you are signifying his jurisdiction over you - even keeping quiet.

His first mistake, probably before al this began, was acknowledging who he was. After that, he Wanted representation. If you are innocent, why bother acknowledging anything to start with, right? Why ask for representation? There is nothing to answer for if you are innocent.

Anything you do that Goes along with the system makes it worse for you. You cannot then change half way through like he has done.

interesting, and this i do agree to now that i think about it. but scenes like this rarely happen. anywhere. sure there is some disobedience at some court somewhere, but more often than not, its keeping on the respectful side. got to admit if scenes like this were commonplace, this wouldnt get the reaction it has gotten

Although if the case against him is to be believed, his first mistake was probably trying to kill protected witness R.  That kind of thing never looks good in court.

Bloody hell...do they not have the presumption of innocence in your government?

I've heard many horror stories from friends who have spent time in Ozzy Land. Talking about how simply being arrested could land you with a bunch of charges, even if you did nothing to begin with, they find ways to make you a criminal.

Same happens in Yankee land I seen Harold and kumar escape from guantanamo bay.

What you do not realize though is you may be charged with all these things but you will probably end up walking out a free man anyway.
Hell most murderers only get about 3 years jail time and thats if they are unlucky. :cookoo:
I am not interested in anything you have to say
Don't bother talking to me, I will not answer you
