Well the day I thought was so far away had arrived I picked up my new F800R. After much consideration it turned out that this is the perfect bike to fit me now and what I want to do. This thing handles soooo nicely I reccomend it as a next step bike to anyone. Im in absolute love with it I love it more than when I first got my GS. I did have a few goodbye and thankyou words to my GS and it was wheeled out to the back of the dealership but it was time to move on. The GS taught me so much and I wont forget it anytime soon. As for me I'll still be stopping by often cause this forum is such a great place to be and the conversation is great.

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

idk if these are afvail. in the us. even so that is gorgeous mate. my only gripe if it can be considered a gripe is hte headlight arrangement. ive always been a bmw boxer fan. ive had 2 of them first oen was a gift. with 276k mi. on it. still running perfect. i gave it back to my aunt with almost 321k on her wheni left for MMI. still having nearly perfect compression. no smoking etc. thats why i like the boxer arrangement. minimal wear a long stroke, gravitational load is minimal etc, but that being said. what youve got is amazing looking. imho BMW does NOT build a sub par moto. and never will. so you're set for the long haul

People say there is nothing like riding a slow bike fast.

I don't know, I like riding a fast bike slow - whatever that means.

Hey Slips.... remember, statistically speaking a rider of any experience is more likely to crash their new or new-to-them bike in the first 6 months and/or 8,000kms as they learn how that bike handles different situations. Keep it in mind.  :thumb:

Which is why I'm investing in crash protection and rider training and comprehensive insurance.

And in a level head NOT to try to impress anyone or keep up with people who are faster.

idk if htey scare me or its my respect for what they can do in the wrong hands or in moments of bad decisions. either way its a a healthy fear. i refuse to ride with "fearless" riders. whehter its on moto bikes, gopeds or motorcycles.
