Looks like that time of season where the noobs drop/wreck their bikes, turn around and try to sell of stupid price to get out from under a loan.

I guess i'm the noob with the bike. I bought it already dropped and fixed it. Everything is the way it should be and the forks were rebuilt by adidasguy. I just need a good gas car to haul around music equipment from show to show now. Can't fit much on the bike.

Nah, noob comment was made to all the listing's i've been finding lately. Wasn't directed towards anyone in perticular

I would definitely get some good/current photos up on that ad! Might steer some potential buyers

Here's one around me:

2000 Suzuki GS500E with 3500 miles. Blue and black in color. Aftermarket windshield. Soft luggage included. Wife decided to quit riding due to family demands and work hours. Great starter bike or dependable commuter! $1,500 OBO.

http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/mcy/3123960730.html - Looks to be a little low mileage for the year, so could need some additional maintenance.

It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:

I was given this bike in pieces. The previous guy pulled it all the way apart to change the crank shaft bearings, and lost interest. It sat in his garage for years, but luckily he diligently marked all the bolts and parts in zip lock bags. My buddy and I put it back together, but couldn't get it to start. We think it is because we put the original piston rings back in it, and just can't get good enough compression.

It has now been sitting in a buddy's garage for almost 2 years, so I figured it was time to give someone else a crack at it. We don't have a title for it, so it is more of a parts bike.

Just trying to give it away, let me know if you are interested.

WOW! for $1100 this is tempting.

I have two TC185 dual range/dual sport bikes. They are very near complete. I have lots of extra parts spare cylinder and piston good set of wheels, etc.I have clear title for one and the other is a parts bike to fix 2 into one keep or part out the extras. There is almost enough in the parts bike to pay for the titled bike.Probaly have one up and running in a weekend. Come take a look at them,I am not firm on the price, i can deal a bit.Let me know. Steve 206-390-3373 hm 425-271-6712

Looks nice, but it's a little far for me (I'm in NW PA near Erie) and probably WAY too much bike. Wikipedia says 141HP at the crank, is that right?  :icon_eek:

Text of ad:

05' Suzuki gs500f for $2000. Six speed crotch rocket. One heck of a bike. For the intermediate level rider. Bike tops at 130+mph so you have plenty of speed and power to ride with the best of them. This bike is not to be taken lightly and its explosiveness will surprise you and the pack. Gotta let it go cause I'm ready to move on to something even bigger.

So, because he's ready to move on to something bigger, are we to assume that he has achieved advanced/semi-pro level?

I think he's ready to move up. Time to get a new bike and drop it on both sides like he did the GS500. He's still alive so he needs more speed and power to finally kill himself. The Gs500 is not powerful enough to do squidly things.  :flipoff:

momoboy

I would say that the power of the GS500F is "adequate"  I would challenge it being "explosive" lol!
