This guy is willing to sell it for 1200$   he wrote this when i emailed him

QuoteI bought the bike two years ago for $1700.  Then I put $500 into new
>tires, battery, brakes, etc.  It is in great shape.  I know it needs
>a new battery and a tuneup but otherwise its great.  The only reason
>I am selling it is because I dont want to hassle moving it and there
>is no real parking for it at my new place.  I dont think I want to
>sell it much below the $1200 starting bid I asked for.  Its in such
>great shape that it is worth at least $1200 for me to keep it and
>deal with moving it.  I guess if no one bids on it, I might consider
>a little less than $1200 but I havent thought about it too much.
>
>As far as trailering, I am not a motorcycle mechanic.  I dont know
>all the things that can go wrong.  I would hate for someone to buy
>it and drive it away and there is some problem that gets them hurt
>or stranded.    Its easier on my conscience to just say it needs to
>be trailered and tuned up.
>
>The reason I dont know if there are any problems is cuz I really
>havent had it on the street since last summer.  The registration and
>insurance ran out and I havent renewed it because I was gonna sell
>it.  Seemed like a waste of cash.  I understand that people would
>like to ride it but since its not insured, I cant let anyone ride it
>around the street.

Tell me what you think??

I would consider that to be a pretty fair bike. before I would buy it tho I would want to hear it idle and take a look in the tank and inspect the bottome of the carbs....My gs I bought was sitting for year except for the one or two rides on sunday. I just got done rejetting it this evening and the orginal carbs were on there. All orginal and OEM spec. I can't really see the need for a tune up unless it dosn't start. These engines are pretty darn reliable IMO.

I'd probably buy it, but then I'm not an expert mechanic. Seems decent enough. I paid $1700 shipped to my address for a 96 with 14,000 miles on it. I couldn't be happier :)
Go down and take a look at it if your not too far away and take someone who knows bikes if you can.

I'd want to hear it run too. The price is good and it looks good. But it would be worth buying a battery to take it along and be sure it runs before buying it.

Im about 3 hrs away so if i went i would buy it  on the spot if its good seems like it is...

I have a uncle that wants me to get a bike and has riden sense hes was 16 or so hes like mid 30s know,  but i dont know if he will go all that way down to Chicago to get a bike.

He just bought a camper so he has to go use that, but ill talk to him about it.

But i have a money issue right now,  so it may not be for sure yet. But i want it    :(
