People that belittle their other half in shopping centers, or at the checkout to the checkout chick (like she cares).

As far as "Could care less..." I think what it means is "I already care very little...but if you want, I can care even less."

iclrag

Right now (mostly because i'm still aggrevated about this) the worst thing people can do is assume that "because youre on a motorcycle" they can just drive passed you in your lane or while your in a turn lane they can just swerve around youn and turn while waiting for the light, i mean c'mon really?

mister

And the other half is right there while getting belittled in public.

Kij, that's too complicated. Just accept that the yanks (as we know then all) have got it wrong.

people who wonder...
1. is the battery low?
2. What's that clicking sound when I press the starter?
3. Could my voltage regulator be bad?
4. Is my stator bad?

and NEVER EVER think to get out your volt meter (aka VOM, aka multi-meter) and check the voltage at the battery with the bike...
1. Off
2. Idling
3. Revving

and then checking when you turn the bike off and again the next morning to see if the battery is holding a charge.

I wish people though a meter is as important as a screw driver.

so Sayeth the shepard!.... so sayeth the FLOCK! .. yep ... adidas you convinced me from various posts to get a multimeter.. best handy advice for the bike i have got so far!! .. and now after a while of figuring out things on my bike with it... i have helped riding mates with some of their minor sparky issues... makes me look all clevered up and intelli-ma-gent with them too!!  :thumb:  O0

No, that was funny.

What about parents who can't or won't control their brats in stores, screaming, demanding, running, etc. And very young kids, particularly girls, who have that high pitched shriek that feels like ice picks being jammed into your eardrums---you have to have heard it to understand what it's like.

oh yeah .. this is one of my fav peeves ... if its a little baby then no drama cos they just 'communicate' their issues that way .. but if the rug-rat is now bi-pedal and just carrying on like its being murdered over a lolly or a toy ... I have "THE LOOK  " .. a real good stern with 'the rock' eyebrow raise .. works most of the time... if the parent has totally no clue though .. sometimes i'll even lean down a little and use "Stop it!!"  :police: style voice. .. mostly the parents wont mind... or at least not say if they do ... one of the advantages of being a big bastard! .. and looking a little like a grumpy security man too i guess  :icon_twisted:

Seeing kids old enough to walk (4 or 5) being pushed around in a stroller

Mister---or even worse, being carried around by their parents.

I've probably said it before, but I'm really getting sick of hearing the expressions; "The bottom line", and "At the end of the day".
I'm not a racist, some of my best friends are you people.

Well at the end of the day, thats the bottom line :flipoff:

I find myself saying the phrase frequently, but I do so in a different manner. I'll either say "Honestly...I REALLY could care less..." or "I -COULD- care less..." which I think has a different inflection than "I could care less."

And hey, don't be getting on your high horse! You Aussies don't exactly speak perfect English either!

Hey Kijona.... go fuk yourself  :flipoff:

See the title of this thread.... things you find annoying? Well, I find it annoying that Americans misuse an expression. So Harden the fuk up about it. And feel quite free to pick on something us Aussies say that you think is not perfect English either. Bring it on brother, we can take it.

people who always talkonthe phone. Standing in line at Trader Joes. Guy walks around between 2 lines talking loudly. "Are you on the phone or in line?" I ask.
"I'm doing both. Its called multi tasking".

I really need a come back for those clueless assholes.

Seattle news todat had stories about how people WALKING with cell phones get into more accidents because the brain can't "multi-task" very well. Duh!

When I was a kid, my mother would tell me about food and ask what I like as we go around the grocery store. Today I see parents on the phone paying no attention to their kids. Poor kid - mother finds the phone more important than him. I feel like walking up and saying "Did you see what your kid just did?" and when they freak out - either walk away or say "Maybe if you gave your child as much attention as you do your phone your chile would be happier". or "Hey, you're on the phone not being a parent. You figure it out".
