People that belittle their other half in shopping centers, or at the checkout to the checkout chick (like she cares).
i work in a pawn shop to pay for my healthcare. theres a couple who, the husband belittles the hell out of her. today to the point of tears. owner was getting angry, i made eye contact with him saying , leave this to me. , i told hte guy. you are a f%$king fool man, you are damned lucky that pretty lady calls you her husband. instead of her jackass, this knife you want to purchase?, sorry i just bought it. go home and calm down before you ever return. think how lucky you are to have what you have. i am sick and tired of hearing you belittle her like this. it is completely unnecessary.  ( he starts to utter something. ) i cut him off. your words are not necessary. you need to go apologise to your wife. there was no reason whatsoever for this action of yours. Speaking of the phone thing, I've seen mothers in store parking lots with cell phone on shoulder talking and struggling mightily trying to get kids and groceries into the car----- what conversation could be that friggin important, how about; I'm loading the car, I'll call you right back.
I'm not a racist, some of my best friends are you people.

Okay, you started it! this one is focused on growing up
(hey i'm 18 and about to move out to my own place, i'll admit it, for the next 18 days i'm living with my mom)
My biggest pet peeve growing up was how if stayed home sick i was expected to work around the house, no sleeping, no rest, just mow the lawn (we had half an acre and a small push mower) do the dishes vacuumm the house, sweep, mop, then sweep again, bleach the bathroom etc. I did chores until long after i would have got home from school, i always thought this was ridiculous

and on a side note;
Has anybody noticed this cycle as they grew up?
young - does a few chores
8 does most the chores -parent says you have no job so why does it matter you have the time
14 you do all the chores - parent says get a job and you have a reason to leave the house (you know, not like you have a social life or anything)
17-18 full time job + school + expected to do all the chores you parent is "busy" "working" on facebook (which they deny even though i see the screen) watching you do the chores and expects you to be late for work (and school) so you can clean up after them
18 full time job - working even more hours and still expected to do everything

does this cycle never end?

moral of the story: FaceBook DOES NOT COUNT AS BEING BUSY.

I never did chores.  My Mom wanted my sister and I to focus on our education.  When we were sick we were never expected to do anything around the house.  Sounds like your parents are slave drivers. lol

I feel your pain icirag, sounds like my house. I was 7 years older than my brother, for years I mowed the lawn and did all the heavy labor around the house, my brother was always too young and might get hurt. By the time he was old enough to do these things he was into pot and who knows what else and refused to do anything. He  quit school and did nothing but sit around the house with his friends and burn holes in the furniture. My mother wound up reaping what she had sown.

-When a randomer (normally a chav) on the street asks for a cigarette, then looks at me like im a pyscho when i say i dont smoke
-"Innit / Bruv / Blood" - Used by said chavs / complete idiots instead of normal, proper english. Makes them sound less intelligent than a 3yr old.
-When cages brake for no reason on the motorway 'Oh no, im a bit too close to that car, better BRAKE..... oh no, im a bit to far away, better ACCELERATE' - Repeat.. How hard is it to gently lift off the throttle/pedal for a sec and reapply to maintain correct speed&distance? On a good day i never have to touch the brake on a motorway.
-Cages doing 50 in a 60 zone, then go into a 30 zone and continue to do 50
-Anyone not indicating / using mirrors properly - They are there for a reason people!
-Those who drive around a car park for ages trying to find a space just that bit closer to the shop entrance, then spend ages parking
-Getting dirty looks from people when i take up a whole car space for my bike. - If the shop doesnt supply motorcycle parking, then i am entitled to park in any space, GET USED TO IT! (Note- if i see a bike in a space but to one side, i do share the space)
-Those who ask "Arent you cold / wet" or "Dont you know its raining / windy / going to rain / really hot, outside" When they can see ive just got OFF the bike and got inside.. Rain? no i didnt notice it.. explains why im a little damp...  :icon_rolleyes:
-"Motorcycles are dangerous", so's rock climbing, i do that too. Whats your point?
-From my own MOTHER - "You rlooking to buy a car, so you dont need that bike anymore then, going to sell it?" Me: "Erm, NO! Ive said before im keeping the bike" - Happens every few days!!
-Recently happened to me: When you & the girlfriend split up and everyone asks "You ok?" or "Why?" well NO, and none of your business!

Good ones Vinny----been there---all of those.

People that wait in an aisle of a carpark, near the entrance  so they don't have spend an extra 30 seconds walking to a spot two aisles over.

Turning on the lights to down the basement and seeing Stitch Kitty left a play thing on the landing - again. And this one looks more like RAT than MOUSIE.

When you help someone out on a huge project, and when you call them to return the favor, they are silent.

People who conveniently skip out on paying the bill at the tavern. It's not until later that you realize that they screwed you.

Those may not be petty, but recently happened to me.

^^^Thats why i hardly let people borrow my stuff..

Back on track:

-People who cant answer a simple question with a simple yes / no. I want a quick answer, not a bloody essay!!
-Cages who dont move over a tad to let you overtake, even though they are going 15 UNDER the limit.
-At petrol (Gas) stations, where they take ages authorizing the pump so you can start to fill.
-Ex's who say "lets stay friends" then hardly speak to you, even if you try to talk with them.
-When you txt someone, and need a quick reply, even stating so in the message, and get no reply for HOURS!
-The stupidly high cost of simple, small metal rings that are weight rated
-My parents, go on holiday for a week and fuss around telling me and that, blah blah.. ive lived at uni on my own for over 2 yrs, i think ill be fine for a week!
-The smell coming from bike gear after only a week or so of casual use (or a single  trip in the rain) :( takes ages to wash and dry it all.
-The lack of twisty roads here. Only 3k miles in, and my rear tyre is already getting squared off quite a bit
-How my rear brake lever is too low, but putting it up one notch is too high!
--How my parents never have anything nice in the house to eat.
-"Waterproof" gear which.. isnt, at all.
-"Reserve and collect" services which allow you to go through the whole system, before alerting you that "Reserve and collect is not available at that store"
-Self Service in stores which SHOUTS EVERY INSTRUCTION, and are stupidly slow too! i Thought it was suppose to be the quick option!
-ATM's which are so slow you could make a cuppa before it catches on and asks for your PIN.
-People who feel the need to argue about something they have no knowledge of when your studying the topic at UNI, yet they refuse to be corrected, even when produced with evidence.
-Windows 32bit limiting RAM usage to 2.75gb
-and, today anyway, FACEBOOK.

*sigh* i feel better now

Wow. You're annoyed by simple math? :D  The reason windows 32 bit is limited to 2.75GB RAM is purely due to the limitations of 32bit architecture, not MS trying to screw you over. I can give more explanation if you're interested. The way I see it, though, there's no reason to be annoyed by math. It's wasted effort.

I don't blame you for being annoyed by FB. That's the reason I deactivated my account over a year ago. Why do I care about how drunk you got last night, how perfect your kids are, or where you ate lunch?

I assumed vinny had a 1GB video card or integrated video. That would be enough to drop from 3.2 GB to around 2.75 GB. I agree, 64 bit is the only way to go in a post-XP environment.

Also notable is that windows 7 home premium is limited to 16GB of RAM. You need to step up to Professional to use > 16GB. I would assume windows 8 will have the same type of limitation.

People that ask "trapping" prelude questions instead of asking what they intend right away.

E.g. Are you doing anything on Friday night? This is a trapping question soon to be followed with "Can you look after my kids while I go party?"

When people hit me with these questions I bounce back, "What do you want?" I Hate that game.

( 3 kids with no respect whatsoever) or i bring ALOT of sugary treats with me. and 20 minutes before they get back i tell them to call me , thats my clue to feeed the boys. i get them so damned hyper. my friends do not sleep till 8am. they raise hell, i say, shaZam! if youre going to cost me my free night, i will return the favour. anytime its a freebie this happens. if paid no sugar.

I'd be like.... No not doing anything, why?
Can you mind my kids?
Nope. Is that all you wanted to know?

Or....

How much you gonna pay me? Let me see.... night work is Double Time. I'll only charge you $35 an hour base at double time so $70 an hour with a minimum 4 hour fee, so that'll be $280 for me to mind your kids. BUT, if you are later than XX oclock I charge in one hour increments. PLUS bill for food provided. Still interested?

Or....

Why on earth would I want to disturb my night of solitude looking after your kids so you can go have fun?
