Hey Adidas,
I didnt see a reply on my somewhat buried question, so here it is out in the open :)

How would you describe how the "cockpit fairing" on junior, changes the airflow, compared to a wide-open naked GS500?
Or one with a "touring" windscreen?

My particular area of interest is this:
As I've previously observed, I was pleasantly surprised to find that between 0-50, my new 'E' is VERY quiet and no turbulence. But at higher speeds, the quiet air bubble changes in size and location.
Crouching down doesnt help: oddly, sitting tall , and a bit back, helps. but.. my arms arent long enough to do this comfortably.

So, does the cockpit style give you back a quiet bubble, lower down, and/or more forward? How far down? Do you have to tuck in at "above 60"?

Does it have any adverse effect at lower speeds? (Does it reduce the size of the quiet bubble, so you now have to tuck a bit even at 50, if you want to reduce turbulence noice?)

btw, I dont mind tucking in at higher speeds: I kinda enjoyed that on my 'F'. Currently, with naked, it just doenst help at all though, for wind or noise..

For reference to others who didnt catch the thread, we're talking about:

I really can't say the difference between Phenix and Junior. While I did have Phenix up to some high speeds, I haven't had Junior above 60 much at all. Probably because I ride Junior on the slower twisties and Phenix on the longer, high speed rides.

The ZeroG sport touring screen on Suzi does make a difference in air flow. Normally I use her for long highway rides because of that.

I feel the small fairing is more for looks than anything else. Maybe it makes a little difference. I'll have to pay attention the next time I take Junior on the highway.

I think more noise comes from the helmet than anywhere else. Big difference in noise if I open up a vent on the front of my helmets.
