It's a definite maybe, but my choice at the moment is a V-Strom 650.  Before that was either a Bonneville T100 or Thruxton.  Tomorrow?  Who knows...

Let's see, well a honda cbr600rr would do the trick so would an R6 or a GSX600, but for those moments of cross country dreaming I think a Kawasaki ZZR1200 down at the local dealer would suffice if I could get use to 500+ pounds and 145 rear horsepower. It's nice to dream...

I think my next bike is a ways off, but it will probably be something with fuel injection and aluminum frame.  The FZ6 catches my eye, and some of the "adventure bikes" too, ie. V-strom or BMW F650GS or....  Plenty of time to dream :thumb:

GSXR750 (newer one if I can afford it)

Or an older GSXR1100

The 750's are the sh!t though.  They're only a tick slower than the 1000's.  sick man....

I have my next one which is a V-Strom 650.  My next next one is probably going to be a BMW RT.
2002 GS500
2004 V-Strom 650
is it time to check the valves?
2004 KLR250.

what's the difference btween a vstrom, and the sv's?  andt he bandit?  they all look really similar to me.

I'll have to get my first bike, first, but my next bike might be a sv1000s, or an fz6.  maybe a 600rr or a r6.  who knows.  havent even gotten close to deciding yet.

I moved on to an R6, which is a blast for now.  I can see it getting old in a few years by virtue of the ergos... although I still think the R6 is very comfortable compared to other supersports.  I'm thinking in a few years I may bump down to a sport-tourer.. something like a YZF600R (if they are still making them, rumor is 04 is the last year) or a Katana (if they de-ugly the fairings between now and then).

what IS a Hokie?

ACE

Maybe a Honda CBR 600RR or a Ducati 748 (yellow) love the honda (becuase it's a honda) and love the Ducati (Ducati, need I say more) but the ultimate machine (which I dont have the experience for yet, is the Honda CBR1000RR

Turkina

Let's see... in order of preference...
FZ6 - Just need slightly lower bars and I should be all good :)
YZF600R - Most comfortable sportbike I sat on, wish it was FI, but has adjustable suspension which the FZ6 doesn't have
Interceptor - With ABS... A bit too heavy and a little too much bike for me right now, but I definitely see myself getting one of these once I make something else than grad student money :(

Quote from: Rollin668....  I'm becoming more and more interested in older bikes from japan and converting into something they were never intended to be - like bobbers or cafe racers...
Rolly

You want bobber?

From the new CW,  there's a Yam Vision that the guy from Cobra (choppers) has converted into a - well, you tell me:

YZF 600 hopefully. Older and cheaper to insure than an R6 and more comfy. Just a little less access to power than the R6. If i didn't get a good deal it would be a honda though, best rice burners for riding, forget that power crap, their all powerful.

I'm absolutely lusting after a black Speed 4.  The seating fits me perfectly and the power/handling is everything I'm looking for.

The only thing really holding me back (besides money) is that I love the Super Hawk and find its exhaust simply intoxicating.  It also fits me like a dream and striking good looks in my eyes.  I'm thinking the insurance will kill me so the Speed 4 will be the one.

Get the triumph, its a brit bike insurance is cheaper. My coworker has a sprint. full coverage in NYC is 1,000 bucks and its a liter bike. Liter bikes insurance for like 4000 grand normally in NYC.

SV or SVS 650, maybe that new yamaha FZ6 I think it is.

I seem to change my mind every couple of days.  This is the main reason why I have not bought one.  The SV650, 599, YZF600R, Speed4, V-strom 650, BMW R1150R...... decisions ... decisions.  It is a sickness.  I decided not to read any magazines or login for a while just to give my brain a rest.  I have my autos paid off and I am just waiting to decide.

akh223

I am thinking that my next will have to be a V-Strom 650.  Hopefully insurance will still be reasonable on that bike, and I really like the seating position.

If not, then a Triumph probably.......something about a british bike.
