Ok, so after thinking the carbs are my idle and running issues, I decided WTH, I will clean them out and jet them.

This is an 07 and Ive go the K&N Lunchbox. I do plan on getting a full exhaust or at least a slip on here soon. So from what Ive read, these below seem to be the recipe. But can someone PLEASE direct me on where I can get them all from, from one place as I would like them to get here all on the same day. I know this is a Mikuni carb but evidently there are different series and IDK which series we have and Ive been looking at parts all night and have gotten confused with all the damn part numbers.

The carbs for an 07 are BSR34's, according to the service manual.  Is that the number you needed, or are there series within that?

This is what Im up against.

From the GStwins wiki (http://wiki.gstwins.com/index.php?n=Upgrades.Rejetting):

For the pilots -- N224.103
For the mid-mains and mains -- N102.221

weedahoe

Yeah I seen that but it seems that is for the 2000 and older carbs where they seem to have one two. I guess just a pilot and a main? What about the mid?

It may or may not work (usually not), but if you take your jets to a local dealership they may have what sizes you are looking for.

Or ask Buddha, check out Sudco's site, or call up the folks at Carb Parts Warehouse.

No local dealer around here. :(

I thought about asking Buddha but didnt want to bother him unless I really had to.

Ill check those sites now though and see what I can find

It looks like both the mid-main and main jets are the same series (N102.221) from the wiki for 2001-2007 carbs, though the main is a larger opening.  This sizes of this series available on the site you mentioned include both the 65 and the 150.

I've only messed with the older 2 jet carbs, so I can't say for sure -- maybe I'm reading the wiki information wrong.

Thats what I thought also about the mid-main and main being the same series but wasnt sure and certainly didnt want to order the wrong parts.

If no one that knows for sure replies, you said you were going to clean the carbs anyway.  When you have the bowls off, see if the main and mid-main jets are the same size and shape, and try to interchange them to check the seating and threads.

Best place to order jets that I have dealt with.  Good prices, and quick shipping.

I looked at them last night from a previous thread but they don't have any N102.221

They have 140's, 142.5 and 62.5's.  Just no 150's and 65's.

What year is your bike and what part of the country are you in? I found a few local parts shops that can order any jet you want from Tucker Rocky. Find a place that will order them for you but be careful, some will make you buy 4 jets because they come in packs of 4.

Jets start on page 1064. Look for the KN102.221 for mid and main and VM28/486 for the pilots.

Well originally I was confused on what parts were needed even though the part numbers were given. What was throwing my off was the two mains with one being called a mid-main although it is still a main.

So now I understand much more clearly.

I ordered a Mikuni technical manual and a slide ruler to calculate the jets, altitude, temps, ect. I already have an Innovate LC-1 wideband that I use to dial in the AFR to WOT and idle. So I will be using it also. I understand everything gets it close by guessing the jets and thats fine for most. But I want to know exactly where I am at. We all know too rich or too lean are both bad. I just want mine dialed in correctly and accurately.

So since I understand the part numbers and parts better, Im going to wait until my other parts get here and then order accordingly. I also understand now my the Dyno and Jet kits come with so many pieces. Its not to get your bike "just" running. It is to get it dialed in accurately.

Thank you to everyone who posted and assisted. I really do appreciate it
