Quick tank petcock question

This is something I've been curious about for a little while, but never really saw it addressed. When I got my '93 GS500, one of the first things I noticed upon disassembly was the petcock was mounted backwards, such that it must be turned off from the left rather than from the right. After two weeks of not seeing my bike, I'm hoping I can get it back together tomorrow or Thursday (got the jets and stuff from The Buddha, as well as a couple airbox boots and clamps from Ronayers).

Question: assuming the main line and reserve line are hooked up correctly (as in reserve line goes on the long nipple), does the orientation of the tank petcock affect fueling at all?

Well then chit, I need to go change mine around next time I have it off. LOL.

Its somewhat a PITA to get to the screw with a long driver :(

Won't effect anything.

Thanks man! I actually find it a lot easier in this position, which is why I never bothered to put it in the "correct" position. Just lift up the tank a little, stick a driver or a knife in the slot, and turn 90 degrees. Pretty simple.
