I found this stuff over on the Versa forums and a lot of folks swear by it. I wonder if it will work for Flick's white rims. He has a few scratches and wonder if this will do the trip and save a powder coating?

For $25 I'm thinking of doing Rocky first and see how it goes on the car rims and if good do it on Flick.

I've used the stuff on a guitar amp cabinet and it's pretty good. Just remember when applying any kind of finish the most important thing is the surface preparation.

if you just want to see what it looks like, you can just spray it on, and if you dont like it, it can peel right off. close up it will definitely look like a rattle can job (if thats what you plan on doing), but from a distance it would probably look neat.

I've got it on my door panels, and my center caps on my truck. Do NOT put the dip on anything that will get touched alot, it will peel. Spray it on thick too. If you mask anything, make sure to spray thick and then pull the masking tape before it dries, otherwise the tape will peel the stuff back up. It also takes a little extra effort to clean than just straight paint.

But on the plus side, you can clear coat OVER the plastidip, realieve yourself of the cleaning problem, and get some shine, and it's still easy to peel off when you're done with it.

Great stuff really, but in my eyes it's only a trial run kind of thing to see if you like the black

Lots of good info here.
I really like plasti-dip. I've used it on a few different things. I wouldn't say it's a professional grade finish, but it does the trick for me.

Blacked out my wheels, and de-chromed the front end.

Yeah the best thing I like about it, is that you don't have to sand or really prep the parts, just wash them really good.
That way if you don't like it and want to take it off, the parts aren't ruined.

Yeah, I roughed up one of Rocky's rims. Don't know if I want to eventually buy a new one (stalk ebay) or plasti dip them white. Would match Flick.
