Hai, I saw a lot of GS500 biker here in the forum using K&N Air Filter RU-2970 a.k.a Lunch Box on their bike, my question is would it be safe if Im using K&N Lunch Box on my bike for daily using bike? with the temperature here between 22-32 degrees Celsius, and most of the road condition are dusty.

Any information would be appreciated!

I'm not really sure why not. Most here daily their bikes. Just keep it oiled.

Yeah you'll be fine, i hear they tend to have issues with rain (Water sucked in with air, common with pods apparently too) so i went with the drop in filter, pretty nice increase and it doesn't have as many possible problemos

The K&N probably does pass more dirt than standard air filters. Other than that, no problem.

And I have ridden through very heavy rain with no problem.

Yeah I've ridden through absolute deluge/floods a few times with no issues.
I looked into the OuterWears filter covers a while back, but didn't find one to fit the lunch box.
I have the OuterWears on my truck intake and really like it.
Keeps bugs and leaves and stuff out, and sheds a little water.

I've had mine on for 5k miles. I haven't cleaned it since put it on. Its pretty dirty, but the bike doesn't seem to care one bit.

I ride daily and have about 4,000 miles on it.  No problems.  Just clean and re-oil often and you will be fine.
