2008 GS500f

This is not stock. What do you people think? Is the price right?

08 all the way budy! Much nicer looking. You will love the sound of the yosh slip on and yes it's about a 300 value. Consider resale value too. It will be much easier to sell. As far as mechanical differences I know that 08 has an oil cooler and more modern carb system. I don't know much more then that in terms of mechanical differences. 7 years newer and less km for 700 is definitely worth it!

Pretty, is nice....
except for the fact that it's your first bike, so you'll probably drop it, and end up having to spend $500 in repairs to make it look nice again.
Keep that in mind before you buy :)

WAIT a minute... it's NAKED???
In that case, the 2008 is way overpriced.
THe only reason the bluebook value is higher on that one, is because of the plastics. Which you wouldnt be getting!!!

Without the fairings, it should be at *least* $500 cheaper.  It should basically be the same price as the other one, plus a few bucks for the lower milage

Thats really interesting to hear actually. Did you put into account the add on exhaust?
I will try to talk the seller down because of that

No matter what for that much newer and lesser km seem easily worth it. It's also got the exhaust and you prefer the looks. You won't regret it.

Generally speaking, people do not pay more, because of "customizations".
Stock condition, is pretty much the most valuable state for a bike.
I havent been that long on here, but from what I read, modifications like that, if and only if they are done WELL, are pretty much an even trade. Particularly for exhaust "improvements".
After all.. many people PREFER stock exhausts, rather than pissing off their neighbours more than they would from the factory.

Furthermore, unless he can show you the original fairings sitting in his garage in mint condition, and wants to give them to you as part of the sale... odds are, it's been dropped, in significant fashion, some time in the past..
