Hi guys,

I am currently working on a naked build for my GS500F (you guys are probably tired of hearing that) and I'm having issues picking out a headlamp to replace the stock light.

I was wondering if you gurus out there could tell me if this would fit my mounting brackets I have ordered.

Any help is awesome, I appreciate it!

You will also need a headlight "bucket". It holds the headlight and wires, and has mounting holes or studs on the sides for attaching to those clamps.

That's what I thought, the picture looked as though it was lacking the bucket. Are all 7" buckets the same shape? Or do I need a special "GS" bucket.

No, all 7" buckets are not the same. The GS mounting tabs are not the same as, for example, an SV650 headlight bucket. I would look for a headlight with the bucket. I put an SV650 unit on my GS because I found one cheap with the whole thing. Would kinda like to use the GS bucket as it is sturdier than the SV, but oh well. I think the SV light is a little better than the GS.
