Having work tell me last week get a clearance from the doctor to return to work then after my doctors visit they produce a form I've never seen before and tell I should have got the doctor to fill that in. Umm How about you give that to me before I go to the doctor. I told them when I was going and everything. Grrr. Great another pointless visit to the doctor so I can go drive my desk.

Don't know if this affects anyone else, but it seems like every time I go to Wal-Mart, which is maybe twice a month, I can't get in the door without somebody asking for money or gifts or time. It's girl scouts one day, the fight for Restless Leg Syndrome people, little league something, or any number of charity/sports team/obscure organization. Don't get me wrong, I have no issue with supporting these things and give about $1000 a year BUT I hate the shakedown going and coming. I know it's effective to guilt trip people into giving they're money but I don't think it's appropriate to be essentially trapped when buying household necessities. I don't fault the ones doing the fund-raising but Wal-Mart for allowing it to get out of control and making me want to shop a target and pay more for the same item just to avoid wanting to tell a 12 year old to F-off (wanting, not doing) or maybe I'm more of an @$$hole than I think.

Tonight's debate: Seems Obama spoke for 44 minutes total and Romney for 40 minutes total.

They were making that into a crisis that would alter the election, favoritism and all kinds of other things.

I sent a donation to the US Presidential Candidate I favor. Several days later, I get a phone call from a blocked number. (I know, I should have let it go to voicemail.) Who is it but the same candidate's local campaign office calling to try to pressure me into donating more money. I finally said, "Look. I made the donation that I wanted to make. Donating to a political campaign doesn't offer me any tax benefits, so I have no intention of donating more."

same old shaZam! different day. regarding the presidential election/debates. both are talking out of their ass, both want in. aka politics. now to school. too many breaks. ( fall break, thanksgiving break, christmas break, i think around here til jan5th or something lol, then spring break, and a host of staff inservices. no wonder the children forget many things.

You do realize that that individual is very misinformed. The program that provides those pre-paid phones actually started under the Reagan administration. It's part of an FCC program called Lifeline that provides low-cost phones/phone service to individuals/families based on income. Hell, it isn't even directly funded by taxes.

Maybe not directly, but in a companies bottom line the cost incurred for the program will be past on their consumer anyways. Since I pay for 100% of my cell phone ipso facto I pay for the program. I really don't want to start political debates on a motorcyle forum though
