when checking engine oil...
do i screw in the cap to check?...or just dip it?

there are no stupid questions here. i screw mine back in but that is what i started doing when i got the bike and i'm very very closely mointoring the oil level.

just found out...
you're NOT suppose to screw it in!!!!

That is correct....do not screw it in to check the level .
