don't forget the countdown clock that you have to order by that appears on every commercial

Another petty thing: So I went to a Halloween party this weekend at my buddy's wife's mom's house :dunno_black: Anyways, my buddy told me that "Trent" (buddy's wife's little brother) just got a bike. We went to the garage to see what kind of bike a 18 year old gets (he has no job, smokes pot all day in the basement playing xbox with his brother), and low and behold is a early 2000's stretched and lowered r1 w/ polished frame and swingarm.  :cookoo:

Just call it natural selection.  Yes, sometimes it means they get the 'cool' toys for a little bit, but it is necessary for evolution.    Natural selection will eventually find a way to fix stupid, even if our healthcare system continues keeping them alive.

People who use an endless string of possessives to describe something that could be summed up in 1/2 the word count. This usually leads to people ignoring whatever comes after the endless string of relations because they don't want to bother figuring out the actual relation.

Example: my brother's wife's mother's husband's workshop...the better way to describe this is "my brother's father-in-law's workshop."  :thumb:
It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:
I am/am not trying to start an argument. This post is/is not intended to be a personal attack. I am/am not merely attempting to present a different viewpoint.

Select the words that apply to you.

kyled25

ouch that was aimed at me. Now I must analyze every post of yours so I can in turn bash you for something hahaha :woohoo:

'

  • falling skies
  • Walking dead
  • Alphas

Add to the can't miss list:

  • Game of Thrones
  • Sons of Anarchy
  • How I Met Your Mother
  • Big Bang Theory
  • 2 Broke Girls
  • Once Upon a Time

Add to the "could be good but are likely to be cancelled if I get too much into them" (honorable mention) list:

  • Revolution
  • Last Resort
  • Zero Hour
  • Arrow
  • The Mob Doctor
  • The Following

Walking dead has my vote...although I do not have cable, so I have to wait until it comes out on Netflix or an online viewing version.

People that not only watch the big bang theory, but put it in a "can't miss" category.

You're sitting there working on your bike, you haven't moved from that spot, suddenly something (a part, a tool ) you just had in your hand 5 minutes ago vanishes, you can't find it anywhere---how does that happen---is it just me?

I had that happen to me last time I worked on my bike. I managed to lose my small ratchet with 10mm deep well attached (aka need that to do an oil change!) and couldn't find it. I searched for 2 hours, and 2 of my buddies helped and we couldn't find the thing. I go walk into the garage 3 weeks later and I see it shining in the sun on a shelf above where my spare nuts and bolts are. I checked there 4 times and I sware it wasn't there! Got it safely locked up in the tool box now!

What annoys me? When the most miniscule thing takes your bike off the road for 2 weeks :(

People that don't make quotes work right, notice it, but cannot be stuffed to go back and Modify said post to make it work right  :icon_rolleyes:

People who either have done it bigger better than you, or know someone who has, about Every story in a conversation no matter who in the conversation says it.

People who claim to have done so many jobs you'd swear they are 140yo.

People who reckon they have done whatever job it is you are doing at their house. Eg. years ago I was a removal guy. It was amazing how many people would tell you they used to do removals as well. Who knew?

Bah ... #1 I like to ask them details about whatever was bigger and better ... mostly the story suddenly gets real vague  :icon_rolleyes:

#2 They aint 140yo bro .. they are just friggin hopeless! ... sometimes 'doing a job' means they rang up about it cos their job-network provider threatened to cut the dole if they didnt!

#3 hahahahah I get this weekly .. if not multiple times per week ... having been a removalist for 25 years myself.... i reckon sometimes that half the planet 'used to work on the removal truck' ... but ...

in an ironic twist .. my thoughts often leads to "yeah but who is sillier?, you for not having any work/job despite 'having experience' ... or me for sticking with removals for 25 years"

.. and having clicks/pops/grating noises/occasional pain/constant aches in my knees/ankles/shoulders/elbows/wrist (which was the recent surgery) / back/sometimes hips .... its all manageable and usually transient/controllable with some paracetamol/anti inflammatory tablets ...

thats why me and herself are going to a 3 day intensive training workshop this weekend ... looking to start in the 'opportunities to buy a house without banks' line of business .... you know .. when you see those little cardboard signs on a power pole that say "rent to buy/no bank loan/vendor finance..  call 'John Smith' on 1234 5678 ... thats actually part of a legit company and marketing scheme.... so we gonna have a go at making some income streams from organising deals.

..ooops sorry .. i did my ramble-along to off topic again  ... but i'll leave it in cos i can  :D

How 95% of my facebook news feed is filled with lame meme photos, repeated quotes from famous people, or insignificant posts about routine daily living.

+1 to this.

While I do have a FB account, it's only because it's the best way to get hold of my brother. He is literally my only friend on that site........which irritates my wife to no end. She loves pointing that out - "You won't even accept me as your friend on Facebook."

My reply: "Honey, I'm your friend in the REAL world."

Agreed to all, I have a few select friends from the military that change phone numbers like underwear, facebook is the easiest way to stay in contact.
