I believe its filled, whatever that is. It has two small diamonds and it actually works perfectly.

well gold plate and gold filled are same thing. but gold filled is a thicker plate. hmm value-wise not sure. will look that up. cods may know before i can get back to you. before i can. but i'm assuming mechanical. aka windup. ladies watches usually less valuable than mens. because of size. the filling/plate looks like it is in decent shape though  :thumb: but the missing? half of the bracelet? or it attaches there. ive used NAWCC  (www.nawcc.org) modern stuff hardly ever find there. but older watches like this usually do. a wealth of information. i use it myself. site made of watch collectors. ( natl association of watch collectors) but when theyve not been able to help ive used ebay. Granted its not the greatest judge of value. But it tells a person what others are willing to pay for an item. ( or have paid for items such as this)

a wide range in prices here. but a worker helps it out greatly.

Look for a code on the back of the watch. Since 1948, Bulova watches have a two-number code on the back indicating the year the watch was made. Some have a letter and a number rather than two numbers, such as A9, meaning the watch was made in 1949 (see Resources for a complete list of number codes and the corresponding year).
the numbers/codes mentioned is this a=1940 ( starting with a8 1948. nothing before 48 with this code.b 1950 and onwards second digit is the year say b7 =1957

Awesome, so it's a 1955 vintage. And I actually have all the parts ( bracelet is just missing a pin) . It was given to my wife after a family member passed so we'll never get rid of it but I thought it'd be neat to know. Thanks for the info

Order same one today,  it'll be the new battlewatch. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=261111508209
love the luminox. hardly ever see them. have a few swiss army that are brain-dead. a word of advice. if the battery dies, remove it if youre not going to replace it. if it pops in case, the acid/nasty stuff can and usually does damage the circuitry within. btw cods, got that led watch going again. it takes 2 cr2016 batteries to power it. a total of +6v if there was enough room under the hold down strap, i could have used a 2025 and a 2016. ( used my last 2 2016) no worries should be good to go for a while :D

i need to round up $80. before mom died she gave me her tag heuer alter ego. ( mop dial with diamonds. i promised her i wouldnt sell it. But sadly my budget and health issues forced its sale. i made a gold bar for a watch band which would fit a movado mens museum dial. guess what, i found one today in neighboring pawn shop. had $99 on it. talked him to $80 out the door. when i sold moms tag
like this but it had the MOP dial. been taking a mental ass kicking ever since. because i NEVER break a promise. and this one i did. ive plans to purchase the movado as my daily wearer. but use parts left over from her tag, and the gold bar for the band so parts of her soul/memory will always be with me. its not hte same tier as the tag is. but she was a fan of movado as well
it is one of these
going to pretty much sell off whatever i can to make this happen. even tho moms been dead for 3 years now. well it will be 3 years on my birthday.  i feel as though ive got to make it up to her.

Awesome!

hadnt arrived yet. perhaps tomorrow. im thinking. watch is still running keeping perfect time. stem hasnt popped out since it did that first time. so im thinking movt is good.
final steps are remove stem, remove movt. remove crystal, replace crystal and adhere to watch. replace movt into watch body ( this can be done while adhesive is drying) replace stem into movt. wait 24 hrs, and disregard the following statement, as in NOT doing this lol ( stick a fork in it, its done)

traded one of those photo watches i had a total of $12 in for a diesel DZ-2080
took the band off. trying to find a black matte or stainless mesh band for it. still have the original cuff band tho. like the dial cause it reminds me of a gauge on a ww2 era aircrAft. anyhoo beRto youve got a PM. your watch is enroute. dont have number on me atm. but will resolve that asap. buddha yours will be enroute shortly both the seiko and the ferrari replica are functioning and looking perfect ( functioning 100% ) as is yours beRto. as i said in pm i believe you will be pleased  lmk when you get it. since my net is down,  will try and relay tracking number to you. either perhaps via adidasguy or iff you want ill relay it to you directly via test message? ( cant do voice calls ( way over budget for airtime. but text are unlimited ) will PM you now with my number. )( text only :) )

How come pictures of watches, and clocks are always positioned at 10 and 2... there must be something to it than just uniformity, right?
