Looks like I get it.
Seller may even deliver it. Said I'd give $175 if delivered - it is from Tacoma an hour south of me. Knowing what parts are there - still a good (ok GREAT) deal (i.e. STEAL) for a parts bike.
I think sending pictures if Phenix that I built all from spare parts convinced him I would make good use of it and not "turn it into a bobber or street fighter".
At least he's working with me now.
Worst case: I'll pay Friday then bluesmudge and I will pick it up Saturday.

Engine turns. Oil in it clean. Carbs dirty (expected). Forks not badly pitted or rusted. Runs excellent. 89 clip-ons excellent.

Not bad for $100. Noice guy - gave him an extra $80 for delivering it from Tacoma to West Seattle ( hour drive ) Worth it.

That was some plastic over the engine & carbs he put there to try to keep it in better shape. I'll pull ot off and hake another picture.

He was a really nice guy and into bikes.
Someone else had it before him and kept it in the rain. He tried to preserve it and do some clean up in hopes of using it. Well, kids, wife and time were not on his side so he "dumped" the carcass for a steal. He mentioned he had offers for making a bobber or other crap. My pictures pf Junior and Phenix impressed him and he felt the parts should go to someone that would do the right thing. very interesting seller - nice to meet one not out for money but to see parts get put back into service.

I am sure he will be back when he needs bolts & nuts for his other bikes.

Engine should be OK by what he says. Even showed me oil was clean and fairly fresh. I forget all the details on the history of the bike. There's lots of good parts there. Even the broken front turn signals - I have spare orange lenses. Ignition, clip-ons, wheels, engine, carbs, and more. Speedo is broken but there is that blue cap for the high beam indicator!
Yep - $100 was a good deal for parts.

Nice to meeet a GOOD Craig's List seller. Goes to show not all are bad. In fact, I bought Junior, Trey and Quin on CL.

I have a 2004 GS 500 motorcycle with only 57xx miles. I bought it with 300 miles four years ago.

There's a busted baring in the motor, easy fix. about $400. still runs. I've had it sitting in my garage the last few years never getting around to fixing it. I would like to keep it but lost my job and need the cash. There are a few scratches here and there because it fell in the dirt. I lost the title when i moved from seattle. I can get it in monroe at the licensing place if i have a buyer. I will pay for that out of the sale. it's only like twenty bucks.

I also have a brand new battery i got for it that i will include for free. its worth $100
