Get with the program!

a skillful driver would probably make it without all the fuss.  what I'm seeing in the video is someone cracking a peanut with a sledgehammer.

Do any of you have any 4x4 experience?  Lot's of the stuff he is going over can't be crawled over.  There just isn't enough traction.  Those are much steeper angles then the camera makes them look.  Most of that stuff is difficult or impossible to walk up.
Now some people would try crawling, then walking, then running like he is.  But if you build a buggy that can take it, give it hell and have fun, that's why your in the woods in the first place.
About the rear steer:  I never once saw him unaware of where the rear wheels were.  He always had them pointing in an advantageous direction and was very quick to adjust them, almost constantly on the joy stick.  If you've watched many video's or been in the woods much you see a lot of people who will get caught up in everything else and forget about the rear wheels for a bit, leaving them pointed in the wrong direction momentarily.

Am I the only thing that thinks it would be awesome on an auto-x course with some street slicks?
