Dgyver is my hero, no doubt about that.  I am just praying that some of his wisdom and skill will eventually rub off on me if we do some more riding together!!  I bet jennings was cool, all I got to do was run up 276 to Brevard and back, but it was a fun 135 miles overall.

Hit me up when you want to do some more riding man.

Oh yea... now tell us what we really want to know...
Did you hook up with the chick that asked you for your phone number...
And more importantly.... was she an axe murderer....  :o
I have some inside info about the man ....
Cool.

Wow! Awesome race! Great description! :)
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

Laura...I started track riding in April '02 with Ed Bargy Racing School. The SRRS race at Jennings is basically a mock race but is run just like a regular race without any trophies or prizes. They grid by lap times so all kinds of bikes compete together. It is a good way to get the feel of racing to see I really want to start racing in WERA or CCS.

James...Too bad you could not make it. I did not realize that it was going to be mothers day. Worked out well for me since my mom was out of town as well.

Andy...patience young grasshopper. I am planning on riding on Sunday 5/23. Not sure where or with whom, but probably with the Charlotte group. Watch carolinariders and will probably post a thread here as well.

Srinath...I have not called her. I was waiting to see if she would call like she kept saying she would. Got to love it when they demand my phone number.  ;)

Hopefully next track day will be less eventfull. I just dropped off a cylinder to get bored to match the 79mm pistons. So the jetting issues will continue. Will have a Barnett clutch tomorrow. Who knows I may even have the RGV swing arm installed by then as well. Need to get a new front tire mounted as well.

Oh yeah...this was the first time out with the GSXR rear brake caliper. It works almost too good. Easily locks the rear wheel. I may have to put in a stock line instead of the braided s/s line that I have.

another trick is to put an air bubble in the rear line....then you will be less likely to lock it up

I have heard that before. Not really sure the best way to do it.
