12k Major Service. Valve clearances have not changed since new. Changed plugs, oil and filter. Air filter is still quite clean. Chain adjustment OK. Tyres are about 1/2 worn. Gave the hidden areas a good clean as the tank and fairings were off. It ran very well yesterday on a 360km ride.  :thumb:

Today i adjusted my chain. Also replaced the lights in the gauges they were burnt out when i bought it last month. Iwillbe upgrading to LEDS in few weeks hopefully.

Called police, reported it stolen. Called Insurance, submitted new claim. Asked neighbors if anyone saw anything (nope, of coarse not).

And, than I mourned.

Rebuilt my gauges, painted flat black, all LEDs and new gauge trim and I FINALLY REPLACED MY KNOBBY THINGY!!!! I haven't been able to reset mileage since I got the damn thing.
2004 GS500F (Sold)
2001 GS500 (being torn apart)
1992 GS500E (being rebuilt)

Cleaned out her home (the garage), assembled my drill press (so I can finally do my emulator installation), replaced all my idiot lights with LEDs after my oil pressure and high beam lamps failed, and replaced my headlight bulb with a Nokya Hyper Yellow bulb.

Snagged my new top case off local Craigslist for $125 a few days ago.  Brand new in box Shad SH46. Been looking at top cases for awhile, and I am not disappointed in the least. A lot like givi, but without the price tag. Will update with a pic or two soon.

Edit: Added pic.

I dont want to be a duck, but in all honestly, I am.

Just for sheets and giggles, I would so tape a T over the D, and record your reaction if I knew you.

Ha! Lol

Definately an odd name for the company, and one I hadn't heard of 'til I started researching around... and honestly because of the name, I initially didn't give it much credit lol.  But I am impressed with the quality and design.  I definately think Shad beats Givi's Monokey in bang for buck.

Got Junior ready for the Seattle International Motorcycle Show.
1. Clean him up (will do again when I get there - rain - ugh)
2. Put on adjustable fork caps
3. Put on new old stock gauge holder bracket - looks nice brand new.
4. Replaced rear inner fender with a new one (they're only $40 brand new)
5. Replaced left rear turn signal with one that was in pristine condition
6. Gauges got new rubber dampers (that right that they sit on in the metal gauge holder)
........ and assorted other little things

Rode it to work, as usual.  Missed out of Bluesmudge's rack.  Waited too long.  Oh well.
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

Sold one of my 07's I had for sale. I cleaned it all up real nice for the new owner and double/triple checked everything. He got a good deal IMO. Sold it to a local guy too so I might have someone to ride with on the weekends and such

I also decided on the paint scheme for my bike. I will be buying new paint guns this week I suppose and prepping all the plastics and tank for it.

Put on stock suspension links that i bought from weedahoe.

Also, a stock side stand that i bought on ebay.

The bike was previously owned by a girl and then by a very short mexican guy before I bought it.

Now that it's back to its proper height, the ride is improved significantly! Seems easier to handle and I feel more connected with the bike.

bonus: girlfriend can sit on the back now without scraping the fender!
2000 GS500E 8700 Miles. Dumped once. Lowered apparently. has 9400 miles as of 12/12

Polished the rims of the GS500

Also put in new rear brake pads while I had the wheel out.

Also wrote how I did it in a separate thread.

Installed an R6R shock and .80 kg/mm fork springs and Gold Valve Cartridge Emulators from Race Tech. Presently fighting to reinstall the airbox and contemplating buying a K&N lunchbox because the airbox always causes issues for me during reassembly.

Put new brake pads on and topped up the coolant.

Was looking for a new battery and made a thread about it. Recommended was the Motobatt MB10U. Found it on Amazon and Ebay for the same price ($76 shipped). Bought it and it came in today. Dropped it in and it fired right up with no issues. I really like that it has double posts.
