Yep, I was looking down the barrel of about $1,000 for decent set of leathers.  Tried them yesterday, broken in is good. :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah they ain't cheap! I'm happy in my Draggin's and jacket and after Friday I'm glad I stick with them... not a scratch on anything except a couple of minor ones on the helmet, and while I have some bruises and a very small material burn on my left knee from the Draggin's sliding across the skin, I came out just fine.

And the best thing is that the cheesecake was almost a success... just didn't let it set in the fridge quite long enough but it tasted good :) The rest will be even better tomorrow night after a whole day to set ;)

Hi. Know this is a long shot but anyone in the brissy area with a welder and probably a bunnings close by? On the tail end of a trip and my crappy Ventura rack broke. Thinking solid steel in the tube and weld together. Currently in miles. Any other useful solution s appreciated. Thanks in advance

sleeving it internally or externally with tubing would be stronger than using a rod.

Thanks. Someone else suggested something similar. I will try tomorrow or try to find another rack in brisbane. Dam you warego highway(however its spelt)

It's.... damn

Hope this helps  :icon_mrgreen:

BTW, can't you just use more tie downs to secure the bags to the rear seat?

Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

mister

No, I carry enough for everyone  :thumb:

I used a shaZam! load of bungee cords instead.  I carry zip ties as well as gaffer tape. Brendale metal fabrication welded it all up for $20. Pretty awesome. On way back to Sydney now. Might catch you brisbanites next time I am up there.

I saw this sad sight today up the mountain. Saw the owner. A few hours later. A nice young guy who thought he would try a twilight ride after work. Not the greatest idea. But we all learn. Says he lurks here so i told him to join up. Result of the stack was a low side coming in to hot into one of the downhill bends. Been there, done that. Scratched clutch cover, bent clutch lever and handlebars

Ouch!

Looks like an 09.

So, the police tape put there by the police - ior something he carries around, just in case, and which discourages other people from maybe taking the bike during the night.?
