HI Guys and Girls,

Its been a while since I posted on this forum. I have moved to Perthfrom Adelaide and in the process had to sell my bike. luckily I sold it to my nephew so I am able to ride it whenever I return for visits. :)

Today I was riding through the Adelaide hills when coming out of a right hand bend there was a rock placed on the road (can't say for sure that it was put there by hand, but it seemed very likely considering the placement and size.) Maybe if I was a better rider I could have avoided it but thats neither here nor there. I am just really lucky that I was able to control the bike and not come off. >:(

As a result the front rim is stuffed and I can't seem to find one here in Radelaide. Is anyone able to help me out? I'll be back interstate as of tomorrow but I have family willing and able to pick one up if anyone has one sitting around. Of course I'm willing to pay for it.

Thanks Daz

I like a non-sequitur as much as the next Giraffe.

Glad you didn't come off. That could have ended up badly

Yeah Perth is great, love being able to split traffic on the way to work and the coppers don't care. Just haven't found any twisties yet. my rear tyre has the biggest chicken strip. :icon_rolleyes:

and yes Twisted there may have been another story told if I had of come off. thankfully its just a rim that needs replacing :icon_eek:

Nice offer but I'm guessing postage to Australia would exceed the cost of the rim.

Postage might be something to check on while riding your posti-bikes. I have way too many spare rims but postage is why I didn't bother to offer one.

Last quote I got off pinwall for a rim was around the $200 mark  :cookoo:

Back in Perth now, quotes I've had from wreckers range from $200+, brand new is $430 + GST would have never thought a front rim would be so expencive. how many of these bikes are there in Australia? Thousands! :icon_confused:

That was just the postage. Rim was very cheap.

Probably about $60-$75 postage. Might be able to get it cheaper.
Any particular color?
