What size bulb does the speedo take, just did a shakedown of bike and found that problem out. I know its probly a 12volt but I need the size and wattage.

I can tell you it's a 12 volt. I replaced the speedo and tacho lights just yesterday. I you have a Advanced Auto Parts in your neighborghood,
pickup the Sylvania Model #194 about 2.55 for two bulbs.

I got these:

WLED-6 LED bulb
12 VDC 6-LED Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type)
Our brightest bulb of this type
Non Polarized
Select White, Blue or Red LED color

I replaced both my spedo and tach with these in red and they look great

Whatever all that means, but that's what it says in the manual.

Damn I really like those LED ones, I bet that they are super bright and won't burn out near as quickly as the others.   How did you get yours?

I ordered mine at Superbright...and yes they are very nice and bright.  Went out last night for awhile....first real dark since I installed them and they were very cool.  Easy change...only took maybe 10 or 15 minutes to do both.
